The founder of Alt Coffee is Mr. Sue Guangming from Japan. In the early 1980s, Mr. Sue Guangming came to Shanghai to develop his business with his uncle’s bakery, which was the first Japanese bakery in Shanghai on North Sichuan Road. After working in his uncle’s bakery for nearly 20 years, Mr. Sue Guang hoped to bring the coffee he thought was delicious to Shanghai. So in 2004, he opened Alt Coffee next to the Baidu Bridge in North Bund and ran it with his wife, Ms. Lu. It has been open for 21 years. I am really envious of him.
