The Knife Angel is an 8.2-meter-tall public sculpture created by British artist Alfie Bradley in collaboration with the British Ironworks Centre. Crafted from over 100,000 knives collected from British streets and police forces, the sculpture was inspired by the country's rising knife crime. The artist sought to transform these weapons, once responsible for causing pain, into artistic images of reflection and remembrance. During the production process, knives from 43 police districts across the UK were brought to the workshop, sterilized and blunted, and then individually welded to the steel frame.
