in my head it’s very easy to make any app or project succeed if it has the necessary funding behind it there are so many content creators with a potential audience of millions, who still depend on the goodwill of a third-party platform for their content and another third-party platform for their monetization, both taking an absurd percentage of the revenue from the content they create. if i had 100k i could take any app or project to the sky it’s not about the technology it’s not about the system it’s about our human nature (which hasn’t changed for millennia) one of facebook’s great successes was starting in small communities, mainly universities. they didn’t sell technology, they sold a way to connect with your own people (similar relative age, same social context, same economy). web3, on the other hand, to me, is a bunch of people with a lot of money but zero talent, zero hunger, completely settled in their bubble, burning money as if that were the solution because that’s what they’ve lived and been taught: useless, overgrown children who only exist by the grace of nepotism
