I agree with every single word and really appreciate this quality hijacking. In my opinion, the recipe is simple. Lens has set up a few wishlist items in its developer support program, things they’d like to see implemented by others. But others won't come for a whishlist. What’s needed here is a Lens focused team with very strong product management with a concrete product plan, not one that just waits for devs to bring their good ideas for the greater good (in an ecosystem where they can’t expect much money injection), but one that proactively builds team(s) to bring these wishlist projects to life (or at least some of them - even one of them would totally change the current status quo of this ecosystem). This way, a few ecosystem projects could emerge that either function as flagships and find their user base, or serve as benchmarks for those building similar things. Moreover, during this process, Lens team could encounter every issue that needs improvement on the primitive level and fix them firsthand according to the needs of the projects under development.
