Have you ever had a “glitch in the matrix” kind of story? And I’m not talking about “I woke up at 3:33 a.m. because I heard a deep voice talking to me” no, I mean a total glitch that made you question reality By the way, hearing or feeling touches or knocks right before falling asleep, or while drifting off, can be a type of hypnagogic hallucination, which is actually normal and not something to worry about, especially if you’re stressed or tired Imagine this—you’re on the couch with a lifelong friend at his place, you haven’t hung out in a while, you’re watching YouTube videos, he’s on his phone but it’s 3 a.m., you’re both sleepy and have been smoking joints, but you’re fine, you’re watching a video from this YouTuber called “Human Mind,” everything’s chill and you start dozing off a bit, all good so far But somehow, in that dream, it feels like you’re in the same living room, your friend on his phone, the same video on the TV, the joint in your hand—everything exactly the same—so you don’t even realize you’ve fallen asleep, you don’t remember doing it, and you go to the kitchen to grab some nachos (the munchies, you know), but right before stepping into the hallway you hear a deep, disturbing voice saying “WAKE UP!!!” and when you turn around you see the image on the TV staring straight at you—the face from the video That makes you wake up in shock, snapping back into reality, your eyes immediately lock on the TV, and for a split second I swear I saw the face of the guy from Human Mind, pressed up close to the camera, staring straight at the couch, then the image faded and the video kept playing normally as if nothing had happened, obviously confused, I turned to my friend and saw him staring at the screen with a terrified look, so I asked him “did you hear that?” and he looked at me, his voice trembling, and said “yeah… I don’t know what I just heard,” obviously we rewound the video like 15 times and that frame just wasn’t there, we couldn’t find it, and yeah the video was a front-facing shot, but it’s not normal for that YouTuber to lean that close to the camera and say something like that, we had no explanation for what happened and feeling totally creeped out I told him I was leaving The next day we met up again and talked about it, but since we couldn’t come up with anything logical, well, that’s where it stayed
