We’re now in the fourth year, and the total amount I’ve earned from Lens so far is $184.\ When you consider the costs , three to four years of effort, the HEY NFTs we minted on Zora, Lens NFTs, and all the things sold with the hope of an airdrop , it’s clear that the overall picture is a loss. 😄🙂 Some developers might say even that’s generous and compare it to Web2, but honestly, I don’t have the time or energy to explain things to them. Today’s Lens post received mostly negative feedback, and that’s mainly because the team has remained completely silent , maybe because it’s just one person running everything :) To be fair, if I had received rewards on Lens from projects like zkSync, Bonsai, or Phaver, I probably wouldn’t be as vocal right now.\ Most of the people who received those rewards without being active are no longer around anyway. The truth is, what happened to me on Lens isn’t new. Back in 2017, I was scammed multiple times during the ICO era.\ And again, after three years of contributing to Linea and zkSync, I didn’t even get enough rewards to cover my costs. Airdrops have now turned into a complete Ponzi system , that’s the reality we need to accept.\ Projects are using them to sell hope, rewarding influencers, random outsiders, or their own team members instead of the real community. At this point, the key is to recognize that early and learn how to dance with the devil.\ If you don’t, you’ll end up like me , the big fish always eat the small ones. I’ll continue with Lens for as long as it lasts.\ Karma will eventually smile upon us and deal with the fake people in its own way. 🍀
