🥝 interesting submission to the t2 x Kiwi Writing Contest by @lens/wailoaloa I had not thought of blockchains in terms of Timothy Morton's theory of hyperobjects, but so obvious really. And then connecting that idea to Terraforms, brilliant! \>Blockchains are enormous, barely comprehensible, four dimensional objects that stretch through space and time. They are hyperobjects. "Tectonic plates, global warming, nuclear radiation, evolution. These are hyperobjects, entities that are massively distributed in time and space, at least relative to human scales." - Timothy Morton In his book, Morton describes non-human entities - the titular Hyperobjects - that overshadow and often dictate our existence as humans. We can only perceive these hyperobjects at their very edges, if at all.< https://app.t2.world/article/cly9l8xy38761821zmchewji19u
