Is social media really all about likes? Is everything defined by what you already like or enjoy? Is that all there is to life? Algorithms show us so much of the content we already like that we rarely get the chance to discover anything new. We stop seeing different perspectives because they're never put in front of us. When we only consume content that matches our existing interests, discovery disappears and so does the opportunity to broaden our horizons.
