Introducing Palus I’ve decided to fully fork Hey over to an entirely new domain and project. It’s live now at https://palus.app. What is “palus”? It’s a latin word that means a “stake or post” or a “marsh”, depending on the context. Seemed fitting. It’s also part of coral, which inspired the branding. There are many reasons I made this decision, despite the state of Lens. Most notably, I got tired of waiting for my contributions to be merged into Hey. 😅 Here are some of the changes you can expect to see that are already live or shipping soon: 🚫 No more “Pro” subscription or pay-for-verification. All Hey Pro features are totally free on Palus. 🪙 No more Zora creator coins, “Heynames”, Base trading, or anything outside of Lens-native features. 🪳 Bug fixes for longstanding issues, like incorrect usernames being shown, broken login and tipping, broken “back” handling, etc. 📱 Better mobile support. 👥 More sensible handling of blocking vs muting. 🫣 Support for “content warnings” so you can mark posts as “spoilers” and “NSFW”, which means the post content is blurred until manually revealed. 🔔 Better notifications with things like tip amounts, timestamps, and expandable grouped notifications. 💰 Support for more tokens and unwrapped GHO, used for tipping and collects.
