There’s a much faster way to get people on board: Build useful/fun apps which use NFTs as data. Reddit Avatars and Starbucks Odyssey are perfect examples. Here’s some dumb but illustrative example apps which could be built on Lens: SnapTracks -Users match photos (NFTs) with sound clips (NFTs) -The result is a new NFT -Community votes by collecting it -Users can string these new creations together in mixes, which again can be voted on or used elsewhere Words With Lens -Users upload photos -Users choose a photo from the pool (or creations from SnapTracks) and write a reflective caption. Maybe it’s poetry or a short story or whatever. -Voting, showcasing, etc Everything about these apps could be NFTs and the users wouldn’t have to know. But they could enjoy the app, enjoy creating, and then see that a creation in one app is also available in another…and another….and they discover the benefits by actually using NFTs, not being preached to any theoretical decentralization mumbo jumbo.
I don’t think using blockchains or AI will be complex in 2 years. I assume both will be integrated in tools and abstracted from users. (Maybe 2 years is a bit optimistic …)
Totally agree. We’re going to make it happen 💪 I’m psyched to start introducing people to web3
I think it makes sense
