Agreed. It’s possible we see a situation similar to Google/Windows. Microsoft forced Windows users to use Internet Explorer bc “obviously” whoever controlled the web browser controlled the users’ web experience. Then Google came along and browser/OS/device became largely irrelevant. All that mattered was access Google.com. It’s possible something like this happens with web3 + AI, where access to the chain is all that matters and the local apps (including payment) on device are disintermediated (both by web3 and AI). I have no idea the likelihood, I could be way off. But looking to the past for lessons about what’s at least possible for the future is my typical approach.
