Lens mobile apps could support Paid Collects by adding the fee that Apple wants to charge. Lot of folks would love to collect on mobile as well (including

- or just build on android first, which has anyway bigger market 🤷♂️
- $ 🍏 stable coin & decentralised App Store 🤔
- I’d love to see this. It’s the reality of the world we’re in at the moment. We aren’t going to change it in the short term by hiding from it. Bring on the paid collects with the apple tax!
- I agree with this
- I don’t think it would be worth conceding to Apple in the long run. It’s currently possible to collect on iOS using a mobile browser. For instance, Brave browser has a built-in wallet that connects easily to @lenster.lens whenever you want to collect a post!
I suppose this is problematic if you have your Lens profile in a hardware wallet (maybe Ledger Connect will eventually solve this?) or don’t want to transact on a mobile wallet. Totally understandable. But I think it’s important for collects to remain fully on-chain, and for us to avoid fiat platforms that charge unnecessary and unreasonable fees.
- I'd support this also. 🫡💚... $LENS
- The bigger issue is not the 30% tax, but the requirement that all transactions flow through their fiat system. Which makes this almost impossible for crypto, which is Apple's real intention.
- I would hate to support Apple with paid collects. That's a lot of money which could go to creators. I'd rather have easier mechanism how to "save for later" and collect from desktop. Or I'd like to find some other workaround
- Can't it be added to the apps on android in the meantime? Why hold everyone back just cuz of apple?
- I am too completely for a higher fee if it means I can finally collect on my phone too, would make life easier
- For those that don't wont apple charges 30% fee for any in app purchases . If your post collection fee is 1 matic you need to pay 30% 1 matic +0.3 matic in total
- At @fanstastic.lens after we fight 3 month with Apple, you can send tips without going through in-app purchase. Come and join us! 100% cripto
- And the big problem, I think is not paying 30% to Apple, the main problem is to open a bank account, receiving the money from apple 1 month later, and doing people balance, and then you have to send everyone the money they collect. At @fanstastic.lens we use smart contracts for the split and you can send, legally tips directly to everyone.
- Great ! Is there an mobile app for Lenstube Sir ?
- Adding the fee is one thing but I am not sure about the procedure of the fee getting to Apple. There would have to be some sort of gate automatically transferring it to them, don't think they'd accept crypto.
- I heard there was something about the possibility of other app stores on iOS in further updates.
- what percentage fee should we pay to apple?
- Lens mobile be worth lookford
- app store过于强大,苹果税很难绕过去,应该会长期存在。
- Apple is really the cancer of the payment industry

- Magic Square is a kind of decentralized app store. I guess there are more examples.
- Time web3 folks create their own smartphone 😅
- then a phone from Elon Musk will suit us
- The problem of lens is the speed. It's too slow on matic!
- F**k APPLE!
- Lens is slow on matic
- free to Web 3
- Lets KO web 2 company !!!
- hmm, okay
- 现在这个用户数就不要收款了
- Who is building Decentralised app store?
- I dont line apple,but It's hard to bypass apple's collection
- really?
- yeah,understandable.
It still need time
- This sounds so hopeless
- Come on, apple is much more comfortable
- Um
