appreciate the shoutout! i think speculation and loyalty sit at opposite ends of the spectrum: speculation is all about what you can get from something, loyalty is about what you want to give to something loyalty measures the strength of a relationship over time, while speculation is inherently a moment in time. you take an action now to expect an opportunity to profit later. there must be discrete beginnings and ends to these moments.
an honest and accurate analysis of speculation-driven acquisition methods. as an optimist, i hope to see friend.tech be another successful example of how speculation can be converted to long-term market value and fit. frankly, i see only a few NFT communities have the staying power and long-term vision after selling out their initial collections (speculation), such as Azuki, Clones, or even Pudgey Penguins.
