Thinking of submitting a LIP to make Lens Protocol permissionless, should I do it?

- I’d wait until there are more open actions integrated that would allow new users to interact/ transact with content on platforms they regularly use. That would be a great way to get them to stick around. But I think it’s still early, and we haven’t see v2 reach its potential yet. Just my 2 cents tho…
- Yeah I think it would be cool to also combine it with some sort of campaign to showcase people all the progress that’s been made and different apps for people to try out.
Let’s bring some momentum through a cool campaign like Social Winter / Winter in the garden (don’t judge I’m not good with names lol)
Something where both builders, creators and all the new people that will have access to the garden can rally around a shared cause.

- very difficult decision. My initial reaction is hell no! ;-) onboarding experience, gardeners?, huge percentage of inactive users, UX with lens v2 is still worse than before, … why should a user, a creator, an artist, minting a lens profile tomorrow stay on lens? Who might join tomorrow who wasn’t able to join within the last 18 months?
Assuming I’m @lens/argent and would like to integrate lens and onboard my users, wouldn’t it be possible talking to @lens/lensprotocol already?
Will more devs build on lens if the protocol is permissionless?
Will collectors join and if yes, will they find the artists on lens?

On the other hand, what could go wrong? Inactive users, spam goes up. So what? 🤔
Best case, niches find and love lens. Devs develop around these niches, creators, artists, collectors grow or are attracted by the new evolving ecosystems, … the beginning of a virtuous circle.
