Shrek is a 2001 American computer-animated comedy film loosely based on the 1990 fairy tale picture book of the same name by William Steig. The film stars Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy, Cameron Diaz, and John Lithgow. It centers on a green ogre named Shrek, who embarks on a quest to rescue a princess from a dragon, and win back the deed for his swamp from Lord Farquaad. Shrek is a lovable ogre who lives in a swamp near the kingdom of Duloc. He is joined on his quest by a wisecracking donkey and a feisty princess. Along the way, they meet a host of characters and face a number of obstacles. They eventually defeat the dragon, rescue the princess, and restore the deed to Shrek's swamp.

- Once upon a time in a distant kingdom there lived a beautiful princess, whose name was Anna. She was very smart and kind, and her beauty was impeccable. One day, when Anna was walking in the forest, she met a young and handsome prince named Ivan. They fell in love with each other at first sight and began secretly dating. But when the king found out about it, he forbade Anna to see Ivan.
In desperation, Anna turned to the mysterious fairy for help. The fairy said that she can help them be together, but they have to pass three tests. The first test was passed when Ivan found the most beautiful flower in the world for Anna. The second test was more difficult: they had to steal the crystal from the royal palace. Their plan succeeded, and they got the crystal. But on the third trial, when they had to show their love, they were put in danger.
The king, having learned about the deal with the fairy, gathered an army to catch Ivan. But Anna, resolutely went in search of Ivan, and found him when he was attacked. Anna turned around and saw the king and his army, who had come to catch Ivan. But then a fairy came to their aid, who cast a spell on the king's army, leaving them inactive.
Ivan and Anna were finally together, and the king, seeing how they cherish each other, realized that they were perfect for each other. He allowed them to get married, and they began to rule the kingdom together, living happily and loving each other for the rest of their lives.
