- Beautiful poem by David Shumate. What are you reading?
- Ladies and gentlemen, the secretary bird. So much steeze 🤣🤣🤣
- For a long while, he stared at the door, everything said yet stirring the air, breaking him into bits. When he finally roused himself, pulled his head out of his hands, he was old and grey; a perfect photograph of waiting. His death had left him parched and pale and her footsteps still rang on the porch, leaving, still leaving and taking everything with her, even his eyes.
- I was finally able to link my Phaver $SOCIAL Summer x Binance Web3 Wallet NFt to my phaver account, thanks to support from @Ivo . This makes a difference for not only my phaver points accumulation but also for my $Social token airdrop accumulation. It is a win-win, if I do say so myself.
My curiosity has been piqued by how much time it is taking for Phaverians to claim 100 000 pieces of NFt. Is it disinterest, a lack of information or network challenges?
From what I can see, there was a lot of interest in claiming the NFt. The issue was linking the Binance mobile app to the Phaver mobile app. As @Ivo suggested, doing the claim on desktop worked like a charm for those who access to a desktop computer.
There were continual posts, mirrors and shares of posts talking about the Nft so it is definitely not a lack of awareness. Everyone is highly anticipating the $Social airdrop which means more activity on-chain.
Network challenges might be an issue especially in the claiming process. Some claims delayed because of the increase in on-chain activity. So go get yours before it ends.
- I have been able to mint the nft on Binance. I am thrilled at the ease of doing that but I have not been able to connect my phaver account to my Binance web3 wallet. I don't know if anyone is having the same issue?
- WALLPAPER 💫 FOR PLUCKY PHAVER OGS 🍷🚀
- If you are not working with $Blum you're missing out on a great opportunity to get in some web3 telegram based fun.
All you need do is register with the link below, claim your daily allocation, play the game and accumulate some $Blum points.
- If you have an opinion on how to make phaver better, now is the time.
- The Notcoin airdrop is the largest onboarding event I have seen in crypto, at least in my part of the world. Tailors, bike riders, labourers, mechanics are tapping away on their android phones, expecting the different Notcoin copycats to make them rich. According to Cointelegraph, the project onboarded 35 million users within five months.
While onboarding is always something any blockchain technology enthusiast would welcome, onboarding without the necessary education to navigate the different pitfalls that comes with handling financial instruments that are yet nascent in spite of the years Bitcoin has existed is dangerous.
The danger here is not only to these noobs coming in thinking crypto is a get rich quick scheme but also to the blockchain community itself. If these new entrants into this amazing world do not get what they have been promised by shillers and referral farmers; those threadors who line the alleys of X (formerly Twitter), screaming at the top of their lungs for anyone, who cares to listen, to try this testnet, fill that google form, play this game, repost that post, buy this token, they will leave in the droves in which they came.
- Phaver moving up
- Windows open their eyelids to sunset,
leaves turned golden
astride evening wind.
Down among the trash heaps,
golden boys scatter
the knee deep properties
of time past searching for gold,
for cast off dreams.
- I guess you must be lucky to get in
- It is what it is .
- Listen
- Lovely times here on Phaver. What are you up to tho?
- Speak
- I'm thinking of the soft roses of time, the lamps unfurling their light. I'm happy between the gapes of minutes passing between thimblefuls of waiting. It is the better hope but it stays with me through the waiting. It waits with me through the staying. I'm like roots in the seconds before dawn; leaves in the centuries before dusk. The lamps fill my eyes with eternity. Everything has a deepness in them; a secret trove of desire just waiting on the edge of fingertips like a touch still waiting to be heard. It is this waiting to empowers me. It is this small thing that captures me.
- How do I post to lens folks? Is it my regular posts or I have to do something extra? Phaver is about to get lit up and I would love to be a part of it. 😂
- I am thinking of the Phaver Up NFt and how through this and other opportunities, the ecosystem is tying in with other disparate parts like lens protocol for example. Posting and getting rewards for posts is not an innovative idea but I like what phaver is doing with nfts. The rewards system is quite different from what I am used to. Can't wait to see it in full mode.
- Who drinks a bottle of beer with straw here? let me see your hands; I want to check something.
- @lens/joonatan here is my screenshot. It took some doing. I had issues with connecting a wallet for the chat but finally overcame it. I hope you've been able to get yours done by now? 🕊️
- I am a dreamer of airy cityscapes and escapes through the thirst of my body, every inch an agony so deep, you'd see my bone pale like moonlight behind smokescreen but this is not deception or rather I'm trying to undeceive myself, to grow lesser so all the spaces around me will deepen with their own ghosts, the thrill of living in their shadows wears off after a while and maybe i am replacing one drug with another but don't this look good enough to listen to my body weep.
- I have finally been able to connect my lens profile to my phaver account. Now I have to deal with connecting a wallet to enable me chat. Each time I click connect, metamask rolls for a minute and stops. Nothing happens after that. Is it possible to do the connection on web in the same way connecting to lens protocol demanded? If so can you please share?
- Serenity that comes with being at peace with the world cannot be overemphasized. I mind my business, drink water, play some songs, write some poems and life is good.
- To write the difficult moments, the hours, all the sick waiting for things to happen, takes patience and sometimes you have the words but the language is absent, like a door moving but only wind leaving.
- Is the Super Bowl a global sporting event like football or just a United States thing? The numbers are wild in this research I am doing right now. Also how many persons actually go to the game for the sport and how many go for the half time show? I hear Rihanna announced her new pregnancy at the recent Super Bowl. & the commercials, is that also a drive for viewership? My research shows brands investing large sums for a few seconds of space during the game. What do you think?
- Hustling in the crypto space is not easy money. The moment you realise that, the better your sleep will be. Sometimes when project give people big payday, everyone thinks it was easy and the people who got paid where just lucky. No! Folks grind day and night on different platforms, hoping for a return, dreaming of that big payday.
There are people who have been on the Blockchain space for ages and are yet to get a dollar for their efforts. Some are investing their rewards back into other projects, increasing their bags, building their portfolios, others have not been able to make gains when it mattered, either as a result of laziness or lack of data, a phone, time or information.
Some folks might frown at airdrop hunters for their fickle nature but these guys don't sleep. They don't rest. They pursue everything and anything, farm anything all based on a hope, a hunch, a belief. So never say crypto is easy money. There is no legit money making enterprise in the world that is easy..
- There is always a new book, an essay, an interview to read that adds clarity to the writing process. Never underestimate the power of reading as you grow your writing career whether as a content creator here on phaver or as a published author. It helps. I know this.
- I think Rilke paid attention to the interiority of things while a poet like Okigbo was mythical in his poems. Yet both of them had spiritual significance in how they approached their words. Their works soared above the ordinary cares of human life and entered the realm of the divine; while Rilke's divine is nameless and very human, Okigbo's is hidden behind a mask of ibo totems. It is human to reach for the divine inside us but to also withdraw from its light which we afraid might burn us.
- It has been a while since I wrote a long form piece on Hive. I have never written nonfiction there before. It felt good to write nonfiction of over 2000 words. It was beautifully done I think. I think my growth in the poetry craft is reflecting on my prose. But I am not yet ready to do fiction. I am not yet ready for the short story. Maybe one day I will write a novel. Maybe a novelette. Maybe a collection of short stories. Everything is possible. Until then, I will work on my craft. I will get better. Not because I seek accolades but because poetry is a part of me. It is my life. It is my truth. It is where I am hard at work.
- Is the recent movement in prices a sign of an imminent bullrun or just a high preparing for deeper lows? Everything is green nowadays though. I hope you are holding your bags tight?
- Who has seen Mami Wata? It has been nominated for Oscars by the Nigerian Oscars Committee and I am yet to see the movie. I am pissed. 😂 I think I need to get to a cinema asap. I am curious about how the myth has been transformed on screen and with what narrative. Or is it that the title is symbolic? Congratulations to the cast and crew though for getting nominated. It would be fun if they win. 😂
- It is necessary for every person to have a support system, someone or a group of people that stand by you at any given time. Sometimes these people can be family but this is not always the case as family members can be detrimental to your well-being and or success as well.
Someone you can call when you're sad, happy, excited, confused, afraid. Someone you can discuss plans with, share ideas with. Someone you can lean on when life is tough and they are willing to carry your weight. We all need these kind of people in our lives. It helps greatly. It reduces the loneliness of the world.
- Community remains an important aspect of Blockchain adoption. Every user is a billboard for Blockchain products. What makes it even more interesting is that as users, you get opportunities to make money. Now there are no guarantees but believing in a project outside their financial rewards helps. Imagine being invested in phaver to the point where you are using your mainstream social media account to shill the project. Will you get paid for it? No but you have your phaver points. And as more users onboard through your effort, you find this means that your chances for a profitable project is increasing. Then again, creating a project that serves a purpose, offers something needed or better to the public is better than mining the space for interaction after which you expect some other users to use your products.
Maybe if we see creating on Blockchain tech as an effort towards achieving financial freedom as well as building long lasting products that are needed. There's so much we can do if developers and the intended users agree that they need each other and work together to make this space better. I am rambling. Bye.
- I have been having issues with my phone all day. Basically had to go into town just to get it fixed but its still that bad. There are days like this I guess. Days that seem to fade into the background, a blur. The only thing we get out of this life is result for effort I guess. While at my friend's office, I gave me some hot tea. Nevermind, I had just come out from under the sun, almost black with sweat. But his office air-conditioning was on, so we sat in the office kitchen, sipping tea from tiny cups, talking about the high cost of living. It felt good to stretch my legs after all the walking I had been doing.
It is not necessarily hard to relax. All one needs sometimes is a good conversation, a cup of tea, a comfortable space and voila, your bones begin to ease into their sockets.
- To be lonely
is to listen to the door,
to hear the hours stretch
their hand without respite.
To be lonely
is to wait or to stop waiting,
waiting beginning to return
into stillness.
To be lonely
is to become used to your body
becoming stone.
- Books have always been a way for me to view the world. In reading, I have learnt so much and have had to unlearn a lot of things. At first, I only read fiction with writers like Robert Ludlum, Dan Brown, Sidney Sheldon were my go to guys for the thrill. From there I evolved to fantasy authors with amazing writers like Steven Erikson, Brandon Sanderson, Robert Jordan giving me the goods. These days I read mostly poetry and essays. I have enjoyed writing by Pablo Neruda, Rainier Maria Rilke, Tomas Tanstromer. This is change.
- So many airdrop hunters have appeared on the crypto space in recent times. Unfortunately, in this era of increasing interest in what Blockchain has to offer, these newbies have had to deal with bad faith decisions by devs.
For those who have been grinding in this space for years, you know you win some, you lose some but for these newbies the concept of losing is still new.
I wonder how many of these newbies will be here when the market turns and bull market begins? It would be good to onboard more people into this space but as long as bad actors are everywhere as well as this new system of making airdrops expensive to do, we will end of with airdrop farmers.
I also understand that many projects are not happy with the expected dumping of their token after airdrop. Maybe they hoped for an active community. But everyone is in this space for their own private reasons no matter what they may say. What is your reason.
- Jackie Chan and Jet LI remain my major focus when it comes to martial art movies. Their influence in the genre cannot be ignored. Both actors refined or rather took as their own some of the most popular characteristics or type of hero in the genre and made it theirs.
Jackie Chan is commonly recognised for his role as a drunk martial artist who seems to discover powerful use of his martial art knowledge when he is drunk. How he is able to see his opponents is anyone's guess but don't let him near liquor while fighting. Jackie Chan represents the uncouth, loud peasant growing into wealth and prestige at a certain time.
Jet LI on the other hand, maybe in reaction to Jackie Chan's owning the role of the drunken master, followed another path and whether deliberately or by chance, he became known for his role as the peaceful yet dangerous Buddhist monk. With one arm at his back, he speaks softly and looks at the world with wide eyed Innocence. He even gets deceived by unscrupulous people but his anger is fearful. Jet LI's roles are more significantly spiritually inclined than that of Jackie Chan's. While Jackie Chan seeks the comic essence of a martial art world, Jet LI seeks the spiritual connection between martial art as a fight form and as a form of dance, a system of worship.
One of my favourite martial art movies of all time is The Forbidden Kingdom (2008) where I saw both men in a movie for the first time. What makes this movie much more enjoyable is that both men play their classic roles. Jackie Chan is fun loving, mischievous drunken master once again while Jet LI plays the Buddhist monk as well as the epitome of mischief, the monkey king.
To watch them fight on screen was a beautiful thing to see, for me at least. It was like the culmination of exciting career paths meeting at that moment. I loved it.
What actors do you think are playing pivotal roles in genres of movies who have influenced how you see such genres or movies?
- Raye's Escapism is quite an interesting event. The flow of someone who is in search of love or rather intimacy and has to deal with the noise and decadence of the club scene; expensive clothes, drinks, jewelry and drugs. It is a very 21st century thing. I mean what excites us these days?
Since listening to Escapism, I have been listening to her catalogue. I am always interested in the play between sound and language in a song. How words carry the instruments and vice versa. What strikes me about Raye's music is the rap tinged music she creates. I like it. I hope she gets to make more good music especially something existential like Escapism.
- Hello Phaverians,
I'm warpedpoetic, a writer who enjoys creating valid text based content whether poetry, prose or non fiction pieces including Blockchain related posts as well as posts that fit into different topics and communities popular on the phaver space.
I am using this medium to apply for the Frens role on this platform. I believe that my content is suitably varied and unique enough to qualify for the role. It should be noted that I do not always post crypto based content but notwithstanding, I have always ensured that my content is original except in areas where I attempted to market some Blockchain project.
I hope my application is given a positive consideration and I can guarantee that my contributions in this space will go a long way in ensuring a variety of conversations and interests which I strongly believe are essential aspects of onboarding new users.
Always,
Warpedpoetic.
- I think as part of developing the phaver platform, it would be ideal to have a new posts section where users can curate posts just posted. The present curation system seems tilted towards giving visibility to older posts only. Most of the posts I see on my feed at any given time are hours old and in some cases already staked. It would be nice to discover a new post that would later trend. I know there's no benefit with regards to points for discovering new posts. I just don't enjoy staking or giving likes to a post because it's in my face as being the most staked or recommended for me. I'd rather have the option of encouraging well written posts, just posted with little or no traction.
I think the above would greatly encourage onboarding of users interested in content creation in a good way. I think it would also give visibility to quality posts no matter their level or number of nfts the accounts own. It won't do well to create an elitist project where the bar for participation is placed so high people do not want to get in.
The introduce yourself topic is a good staging ground. It is the only staging ground. Another thing I feel would greatly help would be the specificity of topics. I see topics like orb. What does this mean? Is it a reference to general because I see all kinds of posts under that topic. Why are there no more topics like architecture, books, education, space, languages, etc. I have no issue with the present topics though; they are great. I just feel that there can be more.
As someone who writes creatively most times, I don't know the criteria through which a topic becomes active or maybe gets points attached to it, but it would be a good idea to have more solid topics available to cater to the diverse interests of users.
These are early morning random thoughts though. I may be wrong or over thinking things. Good morning. 💚💚

- THE MAKING OF A PERFECT MEMORY
Smooth as surgeried lips,
your skin spreads its thin voice
over the quiet colour of night.
Sleep like a ghost rises
from the contours of your breath gently
as if a beast cocks its ears against my ribs.
The lush warmth of your body brightens
in the room as if coming from a distance
& everywhere opens inside me
like a chipped bowl
held for too long under the sun.
Somewhere our sweat tangles,
ache nods its weary head & begins
to rise & harden, its stone angels almost afloat.
In that fabled place, your body stretches
into a sea & veils me in its dewy need.
& I, simple as a pebble, settle deep
like a memory into your voice.
Then I begin to sharpen into focus
like heartbreak & you begin to recede
until only your skin remains, pile
upon pile of wet soil & all the palm trees
drunk with my tears
- Time is a strange place. It's face is never still, never really true about that moment. There's no machine that truly takes you there, not even memory the oldest of all our existence. It is memory that knows but even it cannot take one back to that moment and all that it carried.
As a means of living better, I have sought to distance myself from painful past, no matter their gravity or consequence. I have chosen to stay within the ambit of the present, to learn only grace. For this, I have turned my eyes away and in that turning, I live, I somehow find shape.
One day, I will be truly free of the past. Until then, I wake up and try again. Each day, I try again, with my eyes turned away. I will look at past one day and say it is fine, let's look to the future, let's hope.
- It is weird that it never occured to me before now to try to get a lens profile. I mostly considered it a lost cause. After all, the drop was a good one, with a good price. Some persons even bought at a really good price. I just considered it a done deal.
Lo and behold, I get to level 3 and all of a sudden, I have a free lens profile. Now I had applied for a whitelisting some months before because I became concerned about the value of my content here. If it is not connecting on the highest levels then I am speaking to the void. It was a strategic decision but it also was a chance thing. I basically gambled and I won. Yes I have a lens profile for free. Well this was cheap risk, there was nothing to be lost, everything to gain.
What if you're faced with risks with little to gain, so much to lose, will you take it?
