- Interesting seeing how different countries are recognizing cryptos and contemplating whether this will all come a head eventually!
Some are having internal battles over whether some are securities...Others have accepted some cryptos as legal tender...Some are choosing to view them as commodities...a Hong Kong court just recognized cryptos as property🤔|
The significance to the individual of how countries perceive cryptos is something to keep an eye on 👀

- If you're not familiar with ETH Global, let me explain. It's a world-renowned hackathon that takes place in different parts of the globe, and the most recent edition was held in Tokyo. In my opinion, it's the cream of the crop among all crypto events. With engaging talks, informative sponsor stands, delectable food, and most importantly, access to the industry's top-notch mentors who can help answer your questions, ETH Global is an unparalleled experience.
If you didn't know, you can watch all the content on their YouTube channel, from the workshops to the final pitches, at https://www.youtube.com/@ETHGlobal
But that's not all! You can also check out the projects developed by the participants. I personally had a chance to explore quite a few of them, and here are my top 5 favorites:
5. No Lens No Problem
This is an excellent concept. We're lucky to have access to the Lens Protocol, but there are still many people who don't have a handle, and this dApp allows people who don't have a Lens profile to publish as long as they have a human verification like World ID. It's a great concept, and although I couldn't find the profile nolensnoproblem.lens, so I'm not sure if they were able to finish it. You can check it out here: https://ethglobal.com/showcase/no-lens-no-problem-rsjcq
4. GaaS (Gating-as-a-service) proposes an alternative solution to token gating, which only focuses on token holders and excludes the rest of the market. GaaS allows the creation of access gates based on on-chain activity, such as trading, staking, etc. The tool allows for the creation of access gates for exclusive content or applications for users with certain on-chain activities, such as only allowing access to users who have made a deposit or staking during a certain period of time. Check it out here:
https://ethglobal.com/showcase/gaas-exadm
3. DAOlingo seeks to level the global language education market by creating job opportunities that benefit people from lower-income countries. The application connects users with native speakers willing to practice languages, who set their rates by the second or by block. Students only pay for the actual time they spend talking with the teacher, which gives them flexibility and practicality. https://ethglobal.com/showcase/daolingo-zduk5
2. Catch seeks to improve access to Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) chains by creating a global RPC cache. Its goal is to cache the results of immutable functions that take time to resolve, which saves time, costs, and reduces unnecessary resource consumption. "Catch" works as a proxy for existing RPC nodes, serving cached results when a query has been seen before. Check it out here: https://ethglobal.com/showcase/catch-znfs1
1. ZKVoiceKey Allow users to recover their private keys using only their voice. The system works by registering the user's voice as biometric information on the blockchain in advance, allowing them to recover their private key if it's lost. The registration process is done through a browser and uses Fuzzy Commitment to secure the biometric information. When restoring the private key, the user compares their biometric information with that stored on the blockchain, and a zero-knowledge proof is created and sent to the on-chain contract for verification, allowing the wallet to be tied from the old address to the new one. Check it out here: https://ethglobal.com/showcase/zkvoicekey-zeufj
If you made it this far, thank you for reading until the end! I hope you enjoyed learning about ETH Global and some exciting projects showcased at their most recent hackathon in Tokyo. The event is truly unparalleled, and if you have the opportunity to attend one near you, I highly recommend it. The next one is in Lisbon from May 12-14, and if this post receives enough support, I'll be happy to do the same for the next event. A percentage of the collect goes to @ethglobal.lens .

- GM! My submission for the ART HACK - @artfromfuture.lens #artfromfutureExhibition
**Millennial Frida Kahlo**
**Short Bio:**
Cyber Shakti is a glitch artist based in India with a creative journey spanning various mediums, including photography, collages, painting, video animations, and more. She explores the intersection of her meditative state and pixels, creating a fusion of spiritual energy and glitch art. Although glitch is inherently erroneous, broken or faulty, she uses glitch tools, apps, filters, and more, to create works that are so vibrant that you forget they were broken in the first place. Cyber Shakti's artistic expression mirrors her surroundings, often satirical and humorous in nature. Her art is an infusion of her inner feminine energy and the power of the digital world. Through her work, she voices contemporary issues, bringing attention to the importance of gender equality, finding the divine feminine powers within oneself and social justice.
**Explanation of the work:**
Frida Kahlo's self-portraits are some of her most famous works of art. Kahlo was a Mexican artist who is known for her powerful and personal paintings, often depicting her own experiences and emotions.
Kahlo created around 55 self-portraits during her lifetime, using a variety of mediums including oil paint, watercolor, and pencil. Her self-portraits often feature her distinctive appearance, including her unibrow, prominent facial hair, and traditional Mexican clothing.
Many of Kahlo's self-portraits depict her physical and emotional pain, as she suffered from a number of health problems throughout her life, including polio and a bus accident that left her with permanent injuries. She often depicted herself in a vulnerable or wounded state, but also showed strength and resilience in the face of her struggles.
~Thankyou, ChatGPT
**My Work-**
*This is a modern interpretation of Frida Kahlo!*
If Frida were to be living amongst us, I reckon she'd be sitting in her comfy boyshorts in the afternoons as she sat by the window catching her breath between chores - looking at herself in the mirror - or selfie camera on tripod - making a self portrait that would pass off as a 24 hour only IG story.
Making art was important because it meant documentation of a time, memory or milestone, information and clues about a bygone era. But most importantly, only a few were equipped to make art. Artists were a delightful breed. Most good ones, also forgotten.
In a social set-up where everything is over documented, HOW ARE WE PICKING OUR CHAMPIONS? Who is worth remembering, as a collective? who's POV is valid and who's venting i
