- Introducing Lens Network. Bringing one billion users to Ethereum.
Our mission is to create an open and fair social network for all. No restrictions. A place where everyone can connect, participate, and build. We believe that digital social spaces will drive Ethereum's mainstream adoption.
We are making a big bet to scale Lens with Validiums and Volitions on Ethereum, leveraging @lens/zksync’s stack to achieve mainstream scale for the social network.

- If you've seen @nader.lens or @yoginth.lens talking about algorithm choice recently you probably noticed they feature algorithms by @karma3labs.lens whose posts on mirror I just finished reading: https://mirror.xyz/0x6BE454113A58861A09Fc2A57940a344357B3859a
"The power of our infrastructure is eventually able to power personalization of NFT discovery for everyone based on their preferences, tastes, interests, and trusts of their respective social circles."
What they're building sounds really solid and solves for things I've recently brought up. I've seen some of their feeds already on @collectz.lens and will be really interested to see how devs here build when these problems of reputation and decisions around recommendations are handled by 3rd parties or communities.
It really struck me, in a tangible way now, that we should not just be promoting the established user base of Lens as a feature or reason to build here but also that devs have the ability to make good recommendations and decisions thanks to open algorithms. It's no longer theoretical, we can start pointing to @karma3labs.lens as a first example and hopefully encourage more.
Devs can focus on building their app without having to solve for:
• USERS
• REPUTATION
• ALGORITHMS
What next?
- I’ve been playing with my collected art all morning. It’s been -the- missing experience here on Lens, and within the span of a few days we’ve been given not one but two fantastic gallery options:
@collectz.lens and Gallery.so
Music has done well over the past few months specifically because there are apps to use that music. You can play with your collection, brag about it, share it, etc. Meanwhile, our visual art collections have largely disappeared from memory once they leave the feed. Out of sight, out of mind— dormant data.
This is yet another example of what I mean by “Collects as App Data.” Data is only valuable if it’s used. Collectz and Gallery are apps which let me use my Collects. 🙏
So what’s next? How can we let Galleries use and create more data? Well here’s one possibility:
Attached are two images of a Gallery I just made with my H=N/Tezos collection (be very jealous if you missed out on hic et nunc, it was a special place and time).

In the second screenshot, see that gap? Imagine I could signal I need help filling that in. Imagine you could recommend the perfect piece to complete my collection. You could send/sell/suggest a piece and get credit (maybe even a reward like a Finder’s Fee).
Now imagine AI reads the visual input of all of this, and reads the blockchain to understand the art, artist, and social data surrounding this art and is able to connect me with the perfect piece. Or it lets me generate a new piece based on the surrounding pieces, and gives proper accreditation and payment.
That would be an app which uses my Collects to help me find or create new Collects. That would be an app running on a Social Operating System.
- love it!!!
