- What defines our lives? Maybe being defined by what we chase. What we pursue determines what we think and do every day. Although this is not a hard and fast rule, this kind of goal will make us actively plan our life and work to meet the needs of this goal.
We may pursue power/honor/freedom/money/love/material/knowledge. It is a good thing to successfully pursue our goals, but don’t ignore the process in order to achieve the goal. The process is the real reward, and the goal itself is actually independent. Existence, and your relationship is not close. When you earn 100 million, or n 100 million at the age of 80, the money actually means nothing to you.
The process is the real reward, and we should focus on the process rather than the final result, because we experience the process every moment, and only experience the result at the moment of reaching the goal.
When we achieve our goal, our human nature will make us quickly adapt to this result and be interested in the next goal. Human beings are always on the way to chase the next goal. So the question is, is the goal important or the process important? I think there is no doubt that the process is more important.
We need to feel happy in this process. Happiness is our real goal. Pursuing every happy life and work is our goal. If we feel pain in the process of pursuing our personal goals, there must be something wrong.
