Between August and December 2012 I lived in Asunción, Paraguay. Thanks to the Latin American exchange programme MARCA, I was able to do an exchange with the architecture faculty (where I did today's drawing) and had the great experience of having Solano Benitez evaluating my project.
Shortly before that exchange I had been in Europe for the 2nd time ( https://lensport.io/p/54180_598 , https://lenster.xyz/posts/0xd3a4-0x027b )... The impact was strong, in more than one sense: Asunción is not a simple city and it can get pretty heavy if you don't pay enough attention.
In fact, I was robbed several times, but the worst was when I went to the 2nd floor of the house where I was staying to leave my computer... When I came back my backpack was gone. In less than a minute the thieves jumped the fence, entered the house and took my backpack.
Inside that backpack there were almost all my drawings from my trips to Europe in 2011 and 2012, some books, and study material. It was very hard to lose drawings that had cost me so much, that were so symbolic, and that probably ended up in the rubbish...
However, Asunción also showed me the beauty of many people: wonderful persons who gave me great support and friendship during my stay. Many of them are still in my life, and more than once they were the reason for me to travel around the globe, just to pay them a visit...
