The people of Canaima National Park ❤️
I'm dedicating the final post from this paradise on Earth to the people who made our stay even more beautiful, bringing everything together into a perfect whole—nature, animals, and people. They are inseparable.
On the evening before our return to Caracas, from where we embark on the other side of Venezuela, we took a tour of the village and indulged in souvenir shopping. Muerte first took us to his home, showing us his wardrobe and how he uses a bow and arrow. We met one of his daughters and granddaughters. He mentioned that many of his children, their partners, and grandchildren live with him, and they all call him PAPA.
In the village, people have 'normal' houses, similar to what we see in our villages, and they usually dress 'normally'. Many have phones, and they use the internet at specially marked places with satellite signals. The children you see dressed in traditional tribal attire do so for tourists, and it's incredibly sweet, adding to the overall experience. The souvenirs sold at the stalls on the main street are handmade by the locals. They are not cheap; I've already told you that nothing touristy in Venezuela comes at a low cost. A magnet is a minimum of $ 5, and after some bargaining, I paid $ 40 for the bag you see in the 9th photo. Nevertheless, it's a keepsake that I carry with me every day since the purchase.
After shopping, the village kids prepared a concert for the present tourists. They sang and danced, and the best part was that we joined them in some dances. The kids explained the meaning of each dance. In one, the idea is to make a wish with every turn.
Hardly anyone here speaks English, so it was an opportunity to practice my Spanish and once again be grateful for growing up with Latin American soap operas because my Spanish language skills help me a lot in such destinations. ❤️🌞🏹

- 💵 Cash is 🗑️ Trash - De-Dollarization & Why Global Investors Are Running Away from US Dollars
De-dollarization is the talk of the town for the global investors and even local (wealthy) investor friends of mine who are seriously concerned with when the USD Dollar will run away with inflation.
It is no longer a question of if it will happen but rather now it is a conversation on when the US dollar will inflate away it’s purchasing power according to experts and leading investors.

Animals of Canaima National Park ❤️
Aside from the nature, the most impressive aspect of Venezuela is its animals. I had no idea we would have such close encounters with them every day, and many turned out to be quite tame. For some, I didn't even know they existed.
I saw tapirs, toucans, and long-nosed raccoons in person for the first time. They all live freely around our lodge and love to socialize with the staff as well as the tourists. Of course, some are much more friendly with the staff than with us, but if we had stayed a few more days...
Each animal has a name it responds to. The baby tapir (yes, this is a baby; adult tapirs can weigh up to 500 kg) is called Mother, and the three long-nosed raccoons are Vachi, Vachita, and Nacho. They, along with the monkeys, are the most mischievous. The mother tapir enjoys eating breakfast leftovers; you might find her in the kitchen by the trash bin. The raccoons go for bread and sugar packets.
