- A $10 Midjourney subscription is better than buying a paint brush and a canvas. It's actually a very creative process to create images with the AI.
You learn a lot about how the AI thinks or rather dreams. How your own imagination works. And how words can be interpreted.
10/10 recommended! I'll post some of my results and yes, there's a cat bias.
- Damn MATIC fees got quite high.
Fees are so volatile too. This is really something that needs to be solved before Lenster can go mainstream as social media 🙁

- The future of social media is decentralized.
- What just happened, explained for normies:
One of the craziest weeks we've had this year in crypto and we had a fuckin crazy year.
Binance just bought FTX. This happened just a few days after CZ (=Changpeng Zhao), the CEO of Binance started spreading a lot of fear and doubts against the solvency of FTX. CZ essentially caused a bank run on FTX.
All of crypto twitter (and Lens) thought for the last few days, we're going to have another Luna, 3AC, Voyager moment. So no more withdrawals due to insolvency. And now this plot twist.
Seems like some crazy business strategy. CZ is really playing 4D Chess.
Also means Binance is unstoppable now. FTX was considered to be the exchange that could eventually kill Binance.
- Do you have your Lens profile on your Ledger hardware wallet?
Makes it quite hard to use Lenster with @orbapp.lens
Your Lens profile is an NFT. Like most NFTs you can transfer or sell it. It might be obvious to some, but you should know how you can transfer your profile to a hot wallet aka a wallet that's accessible on your phone.
Step 1. Locate your Lens profile NFT. There are many ways to do this, we're gonna use OpenSea. Go to https://opensea.io/account and search for 'Lens Protocol Profiles'. There's your profile.
Step 2. Click the paper plane icon. (see screenshot)
Step 3. Send to the address of your hot wallet. MAKE SURE IT'S THE CORRECT address. Otherwise you're going to lose access to it forever!
🎉 That's it!
You'll notice that all the accounts you follow are gone. That's because they're NFTs too. You could move them individually to your hot wallet, but I'll be honest, it's quite some work. Maybe someone will build a 'Move your Lens profile' app that does all of this for you?
Note: This decreases the security of your Lenster profile. If someone hacks your phone or computer, they can steal your profile.
- When will the blockchain technology actually be ready for a decentralized social network. We're deep in a bear market and it looks like Lens is already having scaling issues with Polygon.
- I was today years old, when I learned that airplanes don't actually make that sound when they dive towards the ground. That sound we all know, was only produced by some Luftwaffe Stuka airplanes, which had sirens installed in their wings.
Fun fact: the sirens were really loud and slowed down the airplanes. The pilots hated it and begged their supervisors to get rid of them.

- gm all! 👋
Today I wanted to introduce you to Sismo and explain you what ZK Badges are 🧵⬇️
(stay until the end, there might be a badge to mint 👀🎁)
What is Sismo?
Sismo is « a modular Attestations Protocol focused on decentralization, privacy and usability. »
But what concretely does it mean?
Sismo enable you to prove on Ethereum to anyone, thanks to one of your addresses, that you are, have or did something. Theses proofs are represented by badges, which are non-transferable NFTs (ERC-1155 tokens). To be allowed to mint a badge, your address must be in the group of eligible addresses associated to it.
But now what if you could prove something with an address but receive the badge on another without any link between these two 👀
So proving something without doxing the address you used to prove it.
That’s what ZK Badges allow us to do!
With Sismo you prove directly in your browser that your address is part of a group of eligible addresses. It uses zk-SNARK technology.
Let’s take a simple example: you can prove, on an anon address (destination address), that you own a conference POAP, by using your ENS address (source address) which contain that POAP. And vice versa. But of course your source address allow you to only mint one badge on the destination address of your choice, no more.
This is a simple example but you can imagine much more useful ones!
There are obvious uses cases for Sismo and ZK Badges such as Sybil resistance. By the way Sismo has already shipped a “Sybil resistance” ZK Badge using Proof Of Humanity, go check this out: https://twitter.com/Sismo_eth/status/1569668644497510402?s=20&t=texAnda3oLd9C1iRjfFCdQ
So this allow you to prove that you are a human on an anon address using your POH registration (doxed) address. It’s not perfect yet but it’s a start and it shows how ZK Badges can be powerfull! 🔥
Privacy is necessary in the IT world and even more in an ecosystem like Ethereum where all our interaction are public. That’s why Sismo will help us to create anonymity on top of these concepts and more…
Now lt’s time for the little gift! 🎁
If you want to try out Sismo and get your very first ZK Badge ➡️ **Mirror** this post
Then, from 02/10/2022 you will be able to mint the badge associated to the proof that you Mirrored this post. I will let you now when it’s available and the steps to follow to mint it :))
Thanks for reading this thread and welcome to Sismo anon! :))
- How does the verification check mark on Lens work? Is it actually decentralized?
Imo one of the biggest issues of Twitter, how often it is being abused
- Love Parade 2022
Good vibes, bad weather
- I'm starting to get an idea what will be possible by making a social graph decentralized and composable. This will power better alternatives to OnlyFans, Instagram, reddit,... one day.
Buuuut using Lens with a hardware wallet is a horrendous user experience. When you have to enter a PIN and click 3-5 times to interact with a social media post, you just stop doing it.
- Posting this via Iris
- @stani.lens What's the point of following my own account?
- Cool stuff: Mirrors my tweets to Lens

@zetfeld.lens thanks for telling me!
- 🌱 I have no doubt @lensprotocol will overtake web2 social at some point.
But until then, I'm forced to keep posting on the platforms my existing audience uses.
...or I could make an app that does it for me (and I did).

- Having to sign every social media interaction on a Ledger hardware wallet. I know UX in crypto is very hard to master, but that's a lot of friction.
