Ryan Cwynar (@ryanc) β’ Hey
I'm a software engineer. I have a lot of ideas about how we can create a UBI and new low friction governmental systems using web3 tech.

- Oh this is really cool. Just opened up orb for the first time in a while. Having this token gated community tied to this NFT makes sense

- πππ Maximize Your Wav3 πππ
After a month and more than 100 wav3s , our team came to realize what really makes a wav3 go viral, and here are 3 tips that will help you:
1. A wav3 is a booster for the post, so if a post is good because it either delivers value to the community or it's an amazing NFT or something else, the stats that post was going to have will multiply, on the other hand, if it's a boring, typical post that people don't want to share, youβll be lucky if you only get mirrors until the target is reached!
2. Choose the right reward, we've seen some wav3s with a minimum of 1000 followers and rewards of 0.1 WMatic, probably won't reach the target they wanted, it has to be a motivating reward cause few people have those followers.
3. We've seen extraordinary results by giving rewards with a minimum of 30 followers, since many Front End gives priority to posts with more interaction or more mirrors and if many people with few followers share you, you will reach higher and higher in the feed and everyone will see your post.
We hope that with these tips, you can be the next viral post on Lens πΏ!

- Alright this looks pretty cool
- Maybe... Elon is playing 3d chess to get us all to use Lens faster.
- I foresee a time in the near future where a Dall-E like AI trained on the internet's collection of pornography will be able to produce novel videos based on a user's query. Yet another creative way that AI could put a lot of people out of the job.
- I want... GPT3 to be the default auto-responder for my DMs on all social media platforms.
- A long time ago, I recorded a bit of a song that had a chorus I really liked that went: "Sitting on his throne / He is all alone / Away from all that is real / He can hardly feel."
For whatever reason, I never wrote a full set of verses for this song. Today I gave a prompt to GPT3 to complete it. This was its answer:
Verse 1:
In his castle made of stone
He sits on his throne all alone
Surrounded by his wealth and gold
But still he feels so cold
Chorus:
Sitting on his throne, he is all alone
Away from all that is real, he can hardly feel
His heart is numb, his soul is drained
In his ivory tower, he is insane
Verse 2:
He built his kingdom on deceit
But now he can't find peace
His power is just an empty shell
His loneliness, he cannot dispel
Chorus:
Sitting on his throne, he is all alone
Away from all that is real, he can hardly feel
His heart is numb, his soul is drained
In his ivory tower, he is insane
Bridge:
He tries to fill the void with riches and fame
But it's all just a never-ending game
He's lost in his own delusion
Trapped in his own confusion
Chorus:
Sitting on his throne, he is all alone
Away from all that is real, he can hardly feel
His heart is numb, his soul is drained
In his ivory tower, he is insane
Outro:
He's lost in his own world
A prisoner of his own design
Sitting on his throne, all alone
Away from all that is real, he can hardly feel.
- Wikipedia started with the rule "anyone can edit" and it grew into the greatest encyclopedia ever.
I suspect a system of laws that starts with the rule "anyone can edit" would similarly grow into the greatest legal code ever.
- More experimentation with tokenizing everything about how regular businesses and supply chains interact. More application of NFTs in ticketing like for hotels and airlines.
- Now that we're a couple months into the mainnet launch of Lens, I'm starting to see the portability of the content between the "lenses" like Iris, Lenster, Phaver, Alps. This is going to be something truly special.
- Cool to see @ethdubai.lens posting their footage in @lenstube.lens - spending my Friday evening watching @mudit.lens talk about smart security https://lenstube.xyz/watch/0x9797-0x0f If anyone has some great footage from events feel free drop on LensTube π€πΊπΏ
- Take-it-from-me NFTs
Marketplaces like OpenSea I'm beginning to think are unnecessary.
Marketplaces effectively act as escrow tools, and an aggregator. There's a good argument to me made for aggregating all the projects in one place to maximize the liquidity and eyes on your project.
But I'm beginning to question the need for their escrow tools. Particularly because there's no reason why the pricing, offer, escrow, and royalty functions can't be built directly into the NFT contract itself.
Presently, I'm directing my team to build a contract that does this. It will have the following features:
- A built-in royalty system, settable by the project owner
- A take-it-from-me function which will allow a token owner to set the price at which they'd be willing to part with this token
- A function which a token owner has to pay to take the token OFF the market for a particular amount of time (tokens are for sale by default)
- A function for an anonymous buyer to post an offer for a particular token
- A function to accept an offer
- A function to pay for an accepted offer to complete the transaction
I may even go as far as to override the default transfer function to make sure that a transaction must happen in order for these tokens to change hands.
With such a system, individual token holders could easily display their tokens on their own website, or sell it through the project's website. I can foresee a situation where a brand allows individual holders to list their tokens on the brand site to make it as easy as possible to find all the tokens for sale, much like the way CryptoPunks are sold. But the applications I have in mind are generally all tied to real world products.
I want to see more experiments in these formats and I'll continue to direct my team to do so and post the contracts as we roll them out.
- If you give regular people more stimulating economic games to play in their communities, you will raise the average level of financial sophistication and standard of living throughout humanity.
- Soooo I have a little dev agency thing with a lot of PFP projects I already have $$$ for. I could use help. Stack is Vue/Nuxt, Tailwind, Netlify, Solidity (and on Arbitrum for one of them). Would love to make some more dev friends to get some things done faster. Fair rates and agreements. We pay in crypto obviously.
