gn Lensfam. 🌘✨ Day three in California working on the forest studio project… The first couple of days were spent finishing the acoustic treatment for the walls and ceiling of the shipping container the studio is built inside of. It’s been raining constantly which has created some challenges with moving equipment in and doing small construction jobs, like cutting wood. But we’ve been able to keep things dry and continue building! Today we worked on carpeting the drum riser and constructing the desk for the computer systems and mixing console. Hopefully by end of day tomorrow we can start patching together the main components, testing out some microphones, and making some recordings! There’s no wifi in the forest, so I haven’t been able to post as much as I’d like to! But I’m planning on writing another long-form post in the next couple of days to cover the technical details of the final system design for the studio. For now, I’m going to get some rest and get ready for my last two days. Hopefully the rain will subside… 🌧️ Oh, and I’ve also made a little friend - there’s a cat living in the cabin where I’m staying who seems to have taken a liking to me… 🐱
