Seattle-based Bittrex will wind down its US operations due to regulatory requirements, said the exchange's CEO. Trading will continue for customers until April 14 and funds should be withdrawn by April 30. Bittrex Global will remain operational for traders outside of the US. The move follows enforcement actions against Kraken and a Wells Notice issued to Coinbase by the US Securities and Exchange Commission. Last week, the Commodity Futures Trading Commission sued Binance. Bittrex agreed to pay $29m last year for "apparent violations" of sanctions against countries including Iran, Cuba and Syria.
