Here’s a good use for $Pointless as a rewards and micro-economy tool for Lens:
- Associate the like button to a $Pointless transaction (between friends only)
- Set up a minimum value for a tip in the form of $Pointless each time you like some of your friend’s post (like 10 or 50 $Pointless).
This could spark some fun, while leveling up interaction among friends/followers.
By being between “friends only” each one of us would have to be accountable for who we add to our friends’ list and follow.
Could become a “natural” spam/bots avoiding and reduction tool.
Or not? 😁

I realized I never explained the meaning of @lens/kaira or why we chose this name.
Kaira is of Latin and Greek derivation word. It means “beloved; friend; lord”. In the Latin origin, it also means “right” and “opportune moment”. In the Hindu religion, Kaira means “peaceful”.
Just as the name "Kaira" has different meanings in various cultures and societies, every user's motivation for using a social media platform can vary.
We aim to create a next-gen social media platform with a friendly community, curation without buzz, and the right incentive opportunities for creators. That's why we chose "Kaira" as a name to encompass our entire vision.
Now, with just days left until the launch of Kaira V2, I wanted to share with you the meaning behind the name and its purpose.
