- Since my last abstract piece was received so well, I thought I’d share another one!
This is a poem/drawing I made back in 2019, and the words still hit me to my core to this day.

- I wanted to share another old drawing from 2018.
I used to work in kitchens for years before I was doing creative work full-time. Fun fact, I can make a great pizza and still make them at home very often.
Back at this time, I would spend every spare second I had when I wasn't at work creating Art. I even would sneak some drawings in while working a shift on occasion.
This drawing was made on the back of the schedule sheet for that shift day. I drew it over a few hours while it was slow.
I look at these drawings with a warm heart and reflect on how far I've come and how much my Art has changed. I'm so thankful for the journey to get where I'm at today and I can't wait to see how it continues to unfold.

- Along with my collage work, I also have a more expressive abstract style that doesn't get shared as often. However, there are a couple of drawings that I think deserve more attention.
This drawing was made 8+ years ago, a time before I knew anything about therapy and regulating my emotions.
I always wanted a way to feel my emotions and was working towards it, but it felt very foreign to me.
Fast forward to today and I am meditating regularly while allowing myself to feel all of my emotions as they come to me for the first time in my entire life. Meditation completely changed the trajectory of my life.

There are SO many layers to this city that often feels like a toy model. People going every which way, structures, wires, moving objects, sounds, lights, it’s never ending. Creating this scene mere hours after leaving the RV I lived in for 3 weeks in the snowy mountains was as much a culture shock as you can get. I chose window seat for my journey to Osaka from Hokkaido so that I could glue myself to it. A bit of colour grading + sound design later I can now present something that has much more life than a still image ever could while still being a scene that’s pleasing to the eye. Did I mention deep synth on bullet trains?
