- Debank vs Lens - who will win? βοΈ
Debank has a killer product and is seamlessly building social features around that. But it's centralized and flying under the radar for now (if they hint at airdrop, could see a boom in activity though)
Lens is truer to web3 ethos. But getting network effects is very hard so would be better if they had more to offer besides forking twitter/youtube/etc (with an added ownership layer). Maybe that will be enough or maybe a more innovative app is needed... Good thing for Lens is that anyone can build a better app on top of their social graph.
- -- how many wallet extensions do you have?
-- me: yes
- what are some good shorts right now? my top picks are probably KAVA and TOMO
1. KAVA is extremely inflationary. It was $8 in August 2021, now it's $0.85. More importantly, in the same timeframe its market cap went from $750M to $450M (acc. to Coingecko). Its supply seemingly increased by over 550% in less than 2 years π€¦ββοΈ https://www.reddit.com/r/kava_platform/comments/t75yt1/kava_token_100_inflation/
2. TOMO - i don't know much about it but it looks like a ghost-chain. If you check https://tomoscan.io/accounts you can see that there are about 1000 addressess holding more than $1000 worth of TOMO on-chain π«
- Arbitrum is winning the Optimistic Rollup battle:
- in the last 5 months, Arbitrum unique addresses increased by 4 million while Optimism unique addresses only increased by 1 million in the same time frame (https://www.theblock.co/data/scaling-solutions/optimistic-rollups/daily-new-unique-addresses-for-optimistic-rollups)
- Arbitrum is doing 10x more daily transactions than Optimism (https://www.theblock.co/data/scaling-solutions/optimistic-rollups/transaction-count-daily-7dma)
- despite doing 10x as many transactions, posting the tx data to Ethereum only costs 2x as much as Optimism
Long ARB, short OP? π«£
- Seven months after launch, Aptos has only managed to accumulate $50M TVL. Now that Sui is also in the market, their prospects look quite bleak to me, at least as regarding their current valuation.
On the other hand Sui has managed to accumulate $30M TVL in a few days and it seems to be the more hyped of the two. But I also think Sui is overvalued and may suffer greatly long-term from putting basically zero effort into designing a good process for rewarding early developers/testers/adopters. Also, Sui unlocks are coming every month for public sale participants for the next year.
- I put $5 into a safe-looking token with ~$20 worth of liquidity and a market cap of $100. A few hours later mcap is $250. Now we wait and see π
- 16% of ETH is currently staked. At the current rate of net deposits, this will grow by over 1% per month, i.e. next month 17% of ETH will be staked, etc π Oh, and ETH has been burning at a rate of almost 4% in the last hour π€

- Decentralized identity and credentials are going to be big, anon. Galxe is bringing in over 5M site visits per month while Layer3 is bringing in 2M visits. Impressive numbers if you ask me. For better context, Cointelegraph has a bit under 9M site visits per month.
If you don't mind spending (investing?) a few dollars per week on gas fees, I recommend completing quests in Layer3 and climbing up the ranks. Why?
- build up your onchain reputation. not unfeasible to think that some version of reputation/history can be used to distinguish genuine wallets from sybil farmers in future airdrops
- position yourself for potential Layer3 airdrop. Galxe airdropped almost 2% of its supply, worth $6M now and $60M at its peak. Layer3 is a cleaner and better platform than Galxe
- learn about new protocols and interact with them for potential airdrops
- ETH deposits into staking contract about even with withdrawals 2.5 weeks after Shapella (1/3 of withdrawals belong to Kraken, i.e. forced withdrawals)
https://query.nansen.ai/public/dashboards/Hk93n66vsO0uvycfui8ypF2xcpNhpraxfwX5AWZJ
Eventually deposits will outpace withdrawals by a long shot as ETH staking percentage rises from 15% to at least 20-30%. Meanwhile, ETH supply has been burning at a net rate of -0.5% over the last 30 days.
Probably nothing...
- Keep calm and DCA
- Boom! @Arbitrum is killing it π₯
With 1.31 million new accounts added, Arbitrum is showing why they're the king of Layer 2 technology. π
- re blockchain gaming I have my eyes on **Tevaera** and **Shrapnel** (anything else?)
**Tevaera**: simple but highly addictive pvp racer with crypto themed powerups/traps (scam punches **cheff's kiss**). Hinted at potential snapshot/airdrop on twitter "*Have you played #TevaRun yet? Do it this weekend [...] get ready for [...] a major surprise campaign next week! [...] Play 10 matches at least* π *1 match = 90 secs.*" Launched ~1 week ago on mainnet; 20k+ "citizen" IDs minted (free to mint); 5k+ players; 2k+ daily active players
**Shrapnel**: confirmed token airdrop for Shrapnel Operators (not confirmed what percent of token supply allocated to it) + potential token sale whitelist for holders. Snapshot to be taken between May 1 - 3. NFT floor prices have gone up a bit in anticipation and will likely dump after airdrop. Buy if you have conviction in the project, not to collect airdrop and flip, since that is mostly priced in and gas costs will nullify any potential profits. Cinematic trailer looks great btw https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=buVwtknco-Q
I don't keep close tabs on these projects (or anything really - breadth over depth here π€«) so lmk if I'm missing something, made any mistakes, etc
- something also cooking with re Lens x LayerZero π
- Don't panic - buy crypto π«‘
