- Coffee break at Sülüklü Han, Diyarbakır. ☕️Great people, authentic atmosphere. Loved it!
Note: Sülüklü Han means “Inn with Leeches”. You heard it right, leeches 😀. That’s because people used to believe leeches that live in the well of the inn has healing powers. ⚕️
That’s why those travellers who needed healing used to stay in this ancient inn. Now of course the well is here but empty. Local people and tourists enjoy their wine and local coffee (Dibek) for a break under ancient trees.

- Saint Gabriel Monastery, Midyat, Mardin. Built in 397 it is one of oldest monasteries in the world. Still active and run by Syriac people in Turkey.
