- **EigenLayer** est une plateforme qui permet aux **stakers d’ETH** (Ether) de la couche de consensus de **participer à la validation de nouveaux modules logiciels** construits au-dessus de l’écosystème Ethereum12. Voici les caractéristiques clés d’EigenLayer :
**Restaking d’ETH** : EigenLayer permet aux stakers d’ETH de **resteraker** leurs ETH sur **plusieurs protocoles en même temps**. Cela se fait en utilisant des fonctionnalités telles que la **disponibilité des données**, les **séquenceurs décentralisés**, les **ponts de nœuds légers**, et bien d’autres.
**Disponibilité des données** : EigenLayer peut permettre la création d’une **couche de disponibilité des données (DA)** à grande échelle, avec un taux de DA élevé et un faible coût. EigenLabs construit actuellement la première couche DA sur EigenLayer, appelée **EigenDA**.
**Séquenceurs décentralisés** : Les stakers d’ETH peuvent former un **quorum de séquenceurs décentralisés** qui dessert de nombreux rollups, permettant ainsi la gestion de la **valeur extractible des mineurs (MEV)** et la résistance à la censure.
**Ponts de nœuds légers** : Les stakers peuvent vérifier hors chaîne si les entrées des ponts sont correctes. Si quelqu’un conteste, l’entrée peut être vérifiée et les opérateurs d’EigenLayer peuvent être pénalisés.
**Chaînes de règlement à faible latence** : EigenLayer permet la participation des stakers d’ETH à de nouveaux protocoles de consensus à faible latence et à haut débit.
**Finalité à un seul slot** : Les nœuds restakés peuvent attester qu’ils ne construiront pas sur une chaîne qui n’inclut pas un bloc attesté, créant ainsi un chemin de finalité.

- Herat, Afghanistan 🇦🇫
Ancient city of Herat, resembling a tale from "One Thousand and One Nights," became our second stop in Afghanistan. It is the third-largest city in size, with around half a million inhabitants. We flew there from Kabul, as the journey by road would take at least 2 days, despite the distance being "only" 1000 km. The roads in Afghanistan are in poor condition, so we opted for flying whenever possible.
The two must-visit points in Herat are the Citadel, a heritage from Alexander the Great's time when he conquered these lands with his army, and the Grand Mosque. Surprisingly, everything is clean and well-preserved. The only thing missing is tourists. We were completely alone in the Citadel, and as foreigners, we were the only ones in the mosque.
Herat gets scorching hot in the summer, with daily temperatures exceeding 40 degrees. Needless to say, we were melting. Although I initially thought I'd prefer wearing shorts and short sleeves, I quickly discovered that the local clothing, made from very comfortable materials, provided excellent protection from the sun. The dress you see me wearing is called an abaya, and I found this one particularly appealing.
The only clothing problem for me was finding PANTS. I hardly saw any men taller than me, let alone women, so in the first few days, I struggled to find pants of the right length. This meant I had to be extra cautious while walking in the presence of people. Despite the intense heat, there was a constant breeze, and now and then, my dress revealed my legs, a sight rarely seen by men in this region.
When traveling to such destinations, I can't help but wonder: "What if..." How unfortunate it is that not many people will have the opportunity to witness these historical gems firsthand anytime soon...
