The future has always been exciting, hasn't it? So many things to come... Things full of flowers and colors, promises about AI and not one of them sounds any different than the same old crap: a better, easier, magnanimous future, a boost of glory, a reality in which we are gods.
On the one hand, I know, there's nothing great to expect from it. On the other hand, I can't help but try to discover it for myself. Why? Very easy my dear reader: because there are indeed many interesting things, and the pleasure is in the experience, in the action, not in the result....
In fact, today I have produced several panoramic artworks using blockadelabs AI tools ( https://www.blockadelabs.com ). It would have taken centuries to do it by hand. Ok, but then, what is the level of pleasure and satisfaction I have felt from 1 to 10? What is the incentive to abandon my watercolors and switch to this tool?
Answer: 0. Ze-ro. As I expressed some time ago "AI can do it: wow. But can you do it?". Because that's what it's all about (as I learned from the best, A.B.A.): if we wanted to make an AI machine that could make love better than us, we wouldn't stop making love, would we?
