- 海洋兄的绝句在诗界名气很大，向来以灵动的思维与严谨的谋篇相结合，往往举重若轻，灵机一点即成佳作，行外人每每讶于其绝句高妙蕴藉，自然成趣，而不知其成诗之艰，常常数易其稿而不知疲倦，所谓“看似寻常却奇崛，成如容易却艰辛”者也，我与海洋兄相知多年，常一起交流诗艺，故知之甚详，记得有一次，一个主题才出炉，海洋兄即倚马成篇并示我，我赞叹其诗思敏捷之余，不免细作推敲，指其句中瑕疵，海洋兄深以为然，半日之内多次易稿，然终不满意，乃搁之，翌日，忽有神来之笔，遂成一篇佳作，其作诗之认真细致，由之可见一斑。

百年恩怨总难分，息尽炮声鸡犬闻。
两岸春山灯火暖，相逢只隔一溪云。
- 海洋兄的绝句多有脍炙人口之什，也常在各类大赛获奖，如上面“夜宿中越边境小镇”尝在巴山杯诗赛夺魁，“虚云寺古梅”“过翠湖见旧岁枯荷”等诗作也在其他赛事斩获佳绩，海洋兄处事认真负责，为人古道热肠，故其诗往往真情流露，极富感染力，如“弟兄碧血皆成土，枯骨何须死后名”“淤泥水底积三丈，中有青莲未死心”等句，读来直击人心，令人感动，另，诸如“两岸春山灯火暖，相逢只隔一溪云”“雪后虚庭香入骨，落花满地待谁拈”之类，却灵动飘逸，令人读后久久不忘，其他诗作或蕴藉，或含蓄，都颇得绝句神髓，总之，海洋兄的绝句是值得细细品读，百读不厌的。
