- 📍 **Kaieteur Falls, Guyana** 🇬🇾
Posing Guyana without seeing Kaieteur Falls is like going to Paris without passing by the Eiffel Tower.
However, reaching this waterfall, the highest single-drop waterfall in the world, is not so simple. There are two ways to get there. The first, longer, more complicated route involves driving from Georgetown, then taking a boat, followed by a two-day hike. The second, faster but more expensive option, is by plane, which is what we chose. Now, there's a catch here too. Flights operate only on certain days, and there needs to be a group of 11 people to fly because that's the capacity.
There were 5 of us, and we thought we'd easily fit into a group. But the day before arriving in Guyana, we received an email saying that another, larger group had arrived and booked all the seats, leaving none for us. Probably those Dutch people we saw at the border with Suriname. Because tourists here can be counted on one hand.
We only have 3 days in Guyana, and if we don't see Kaieteur, it's as if we haven't been here at all. The owner of our accommodation gets in touch with the Ministry of Tourism, and we receive contact numbers for all possible agencies organizing this tour. One of them tells us they have a plane for 5 people, and after calculating our weight meticulously, we get the green light to go.
The flight to the waterfall takes just over an hour. Unlike Suriname and French Guiana, in this part of Guyana, I don't see just greenery from the plane but also numerous cleared areas, mostly due to gold mines. Government corruption allows anyone with money to do as they please.
When we landed in Kaieteur National Park, we only had a 15-minute walk left. The waterfall revealed itself in all its splendor as you can get very close to it, almost touching its water. The first of the 3 viewpoints is called the "Rainbow Overlook" because when you look from there, a rainbow is often visible in front of the waterfall.
We had only 2 hours on the ground before flying back. If you ask me, it's not enough time to truly appreciate the magnificence of this place, and I doubt I'll return... The price of the day trip per person was $ 300, and it was worth every penny 🫶🏽✈️🪂

This is a mural painting by Sabotaje Al Montaje, a Canarian artist who has been painting walls, buildings and facades around the world for 29 years.
Sabotaje Al Montaje: His real name is Matías Mata, and he chose his artistic name to reflect his view of society as a montage that needs to be sabotaged with color. He studied Fine Arts at the University of La Laguna and has participated in social projects in different neighborhoods. He defines urban art as a free, public, educational and sometimes anarchic expression.
His style: He is known for his colorful and detailed portraits of people, often with their faces covered by geometric shapes. He uses spray paint, acrylics, brushes and rollers to create his artworks. He also experiments with abstract forms and patterns. He says he is inspired by the people he meets, the places he visits and the cultures he learns from.

- 📍Kimony Morondava, Madagascar 🇲🇬
Madagascar Road Trip, Day 3/3, Miandrivazo-Morondava 🚙
The first baobab by the road, a sign that we're close to our destination. We've reached the Indian Ocean; we've arrived in Morondava. As we approached Morondava and entered the third day of driving, we decided we won't be doing this again. If we return to Tana by car, we'll lose another 3 days, which practically means spending half the journey on the road. Upon arrival, we immediately stop at the airport, where there's no one because flights from Morondava to Tana only operate three times a week. Almost certain we're going back by plane, we ask the driver to take us to the beach, and we inform the agency about the change of plans, leaving the Baobab Avenue for the next day so that we can experience it properly when well-rested.
Therefore, the first day in Morondava was reserved just for the beach. The largest and most organized beach in the city is Kimony Beach. The road to it is so bad that we had to walk the last 500 meters, not even our jeep can pass through here. We pay 2 € for two sunbeds with an umbrella to the guys who happened to be there, who knows if they even work here. Everything is closed because there are no tourists. It's simply unbelievable because this beach is considered one of the most beautiful in Madagascar, but we justify it with the fact that the rainy season has started. Although we haven't seen any rain. Clouds alternate with the sun, but even when it's cloudy, it's beautiful. Especially here because then the water turns into a mirror.
Setra, the driver, says it's best to call the airline to make sure we have a seat on the flight to Tana in 2 days, and tomorrow we should stop by the office and pay (the internet card payment option doesn't work). He notes our details in the sand, along with the reservation code...
Now I can say that the vacation has begun, and I'm really looking forward to waking up tomorrow...

Love the uncanny vibes, and the meme culture influence. Honestly, would love to exhibit her art in a physical gallery at some point. If we do a second curation with Gxrls Revolution, I will DEF add her on my selection.
This series is just so dope, it's called "tell me stranger - what haunts you?" Two artworks are still available: https://foundation.app/collection/ghosts-tinyrainboot

- Less is More: Embracing the Minimalist Lifestyle 🕊
In an era where consumerism drives our desires, the allure of minimalism emerges as a breath of fresh air. Minimalism, at its core, advocates for a life led with less – less clutter, less chaos, and less consumer-driven urgency 🛍️ By peeling away the non-essential layers, minimalism invites us to delve into a space of simplicity and mindfulness, paving the way for a more intentional life 🌾
One of the captivating aspects of minimalism is its ability to transcend the material realm and venture into our mental and emotional landscapes. As we declutter our physical spaces, we inadvertently embark on a journey of decluttering our minds. This narrative aligns with the ancient adage, “outer order contributes to inner calm” 🧘
Embracing minimalism also beckons a greater awareness of our ecological footprint. In a world grappling with the repercussions of over-consumption, opting for less helps alleviate the pressure we exert on our already beleaguered planet 🌎
However, the voyage towards minimalism is not devoid of challenges. It necessitates a radical shift in perspective, a willingness to let go, and the fortitude to swim against the prevailing currents of consumerism 🏊
Yet, those who have traversed this path often speak of the profound liberation and fulfillment that accompanies a minimalist lifestyle. They echo the sentiment that in shedding the superfluous, we inch closer to the essence of who we are and what truly matters 🌷
In conclusion, minimalism is more than just an aesthetic or a trend, it's a lens through which we perceive and navigate our existence. In the quest for less, we often stumble upon a richness of life that's immeasurable by the conventional standards of success. As we simplify our lives, we amplify our experiences and create room for more meaningful engagement with the world around us
For more reasons why you should switch to minimalist living:
* The average American family spends null,700 on clothes annually (Forbes), yet discards over 68 pounds of clothing each year (US National Library of Medicine cites the EPA Office of Solid Waste).
* Financially, 20-21% of working Americans aren’t saving any money for retirement, with many only saving up to 10% of their income ([Bankrate.com](http://Bankrate.com)).
* The clutter extends to households, with the typical one holding 300,000 items (Los Angeles Times).
These stats underline the potential benefits of adopting a minimalist lifestyle.
