- Bridge A Slapper
Bridge A Slapper has had a long and illustrious career as a world-renowned bassist. His name stems from his signature mix of slap bass and groovy pocket finger plucking.
The son of the infamous double bass husband/wife duo, Laying Sub Bricks, he came honestly by his natural inclination to the low end and discovered the bass guitar at the age of 2. By the age of 10, he had already won several national funk bass competitions, and at 12, was already hired by the Retro Future Funk outfit, “All That Glitters Is Funk” and on the road with the 12-piece band full time.
Bridge A Slapper's virtuosity and unique playing style quickly gained him international acclaim, and in no time, he found himself sharing stages with some of the biggest names in the Future Funk and LowCore world. His bass lines became the backbone of countless hit songs, earning him a reputation as a bass-playing powerhouse.
In 2022, Bridge A Slapper embarked on a successful solo career with his debut album, "Under the Slap." The record showcased his diverse range of influences, blending funk, jazz, and soul into a bass-driven sonic experience that resonated with fans and critics alike.
As a sought-after session musician and collaborator, Bridge A Slapper has appeared on numerous recordings, always leaving his unmistakable mark on each track. His mastery of the bass guitar has inspired countless aspiring musicians, and his name has become synonymous with the very best in funk bass playing.
From his humble beginnings as a child prodigy to his status as a living legend, Bridge A Slapper continues to push the boundaries of bass guitar performance, blending technique, groove, and innovation in a way that only he can. As he continues to evolve and inspire, one thing is certain: the world of funk bass playing will never be the same.

- Gaming Reimagined with NOR | What You Need to Know!
Brooks Brown is the Founder and CEO of NOR.
In this episode of The Edge Podcast, we interview a creative with 18 years of experience working on some of the most iconic brands and franchises in the world, including Avatar and Star Wars. After an illustrious career at places like LucasArts and James Cameron's Lightstorm Entertainment working with AAA console and mobile game studios, Brooks has set his sights on reimagining game with a greater sense of "permanence," or as he puts it, where "death and winning matter again..."
Despite pushback from legacy gamers on crypto and NFTs, Brooks believes Web3 is the key to unlocking a world of gaming he's always dreamed of--where there's real skin in the game, where anyone is truly free to play and rise up through the ranks. Similar to professional sports, but where everything is on the line. For example, an NFT that represents all your winnings, stats, and reputation lost to your competitor in a final match!
We talk about what's broken in gaming today, why monetization isn't the enemy, and how NOR is designing a gaming platform to truly test the grit of its players each season, as they compete on a playing field that more closely mirrors the highest level of competition in professional sports.

- Gm, travelers!💥
**Yellowstone National Park** is located in the western United States, primarily in the state of Wyoming, and it is known for its geothermal features, including hot springs, geysers, and mudpots. The park is home to over 10,000 geothermal features, including over 500 geysers and around 300 hot springs.
The hot springs in Yellowstone are some of the largest and most colorful in the world. The most famous of these is the Grand Prismatic Spring, which is the third largest hot spring in the world and is known for its brilliant colors. Other notable hot springs in the park include the Morning Glory Pool, the Sapphire Pool, and the Fountain Paint Pot.
It's important to note that while the hot springs are beautiful, they can also be dangerous. The water in the hot springs can reach temperatures over 200 degrees Fahrenheit (93 degrees Celsius), and the ground around the springs can be unstable.
**How cool is that?! Thank you ChatGPT ^.^**
I also would add, when you are planning to visit Yellowstone (as well as any other national park in the US) it’s a good idea to plan well in advance, cuz the later you book the less available accommodation you’ll find and the options would be very expensive, plus it is busy there in summer. If you can’t find anything in Wyoming, It’s an option to book something in Idaho or in Montana, these states are equally close to the park too.
Yellowstone covers a huge territory and it’s possible to drive in through 5 entrances, located on the opposite sides of the park =) so you might want to plan ahead the places to visit.🌟My top picks:
🌟Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone: A stunning canyon with colorful rocks and a waterfall that plunges 308 feet (94 meters) into the canyon.
🌟Grand Prismatic Spring: there’s a hiking trail just on top of Grand prismatic🔥🦋; visit the overlook too: you will see the whole thing from there just like in Nat Geo photo!
🌟Hayden Valley: Excellent place to see wildlife, you will see many bisons there!
🌟Old Faithful: One of the most famous geysers in the world, erupting with steam and hot water every 60 to 110 minutes.
Find your favorite places there by exploring the park, and enjoy your trip!
P.S. let me know if you’re interested in this format of posts?✍️

- Nobody asked, but here’s my 2 MATIC (with a 20% referral fee) on the evolution of online interactions:
There once was a time when the “like” (👍) was the be-all and end-all in terms of measuring content effectiveness.
In the early days of social media, "likes" played a significant role in determining a post's popularity and reach. This was particularly true on platforms like Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, where users could easily show their approval of a post by clicking the "like" button.
Likes were seen as ~thee~ measure of social validation. They also played a role in determining which content was promoted on a user's newsfeed or discover page, as posts with more likes were given priority 📈
However, in recent years, many social media platforms have started to de-emphasize likes as a measure of success. Some have even experimented with hiding like counts altogether in an effort to reduce the pressure on users to seek validation through likes and to promote more authentic engagement.
The goalposts of metrics are changing.
Vanity out. Value in.
Web2 platforms like Instagram and TikTok began treating content that had a high save to like ratio more favorably in terms of the algorithm 📱📊
And you know what’s better than a save (which is essentially a glorified bookmark)?
A collect. (Especially when it’s paid.)
This is the future of social media.
Even those on web2 social are catching on.
We’re no longer just interacting for the sake of interacting.
The possibility for more intentional responses encourages more intentional creation. And more intentional creation contributes to a value exchange that fosters a self-sustaining ecosystem ♻️
Here’s the desired hierarchy specific to #Lens:
#Collect - I need to own it
#Mirror - I need others to see it
#Comment - I need to share my opinion about it
#Like - This resonates
Do you see how little the L compares to the MCC in terms of existence?
Now, not every piece of content we make is necessarily created for the sake of attracting a lot of engagement or for making a lot of money. And to an extent, likes will always matter to one degree or another because they help indicate how much said content resonates with one's audience 👥
But it’s interesting to see the role value plays and what value means when both creators and collectors can engage on social media in ways that have not been possible previously.
I’m excited to continue to explore this relationship on @lensprotocol and I’m grateful for everyone who’s here now on the journey 🥹
What kind of value are you hoping to bring to and receive from Lens?
