- `getting started` with #lens in 5 steps 🪴 [August 2023 update]
(0 a) maybe consider adding some information about yourself and a pfp to your profile before you start.
(0 b) "hello world" posts get quite some attention ... 😉 . (if you can post something related to what you are interested in ... 🎇 -> People you start following might take a look at your profile and follow if they are interested in the content you share.) Find one great example at the end of the post.
(1) https://lists.inlens.xyz/lists/818891525288558593 - list of great profiles to start your lens journey ... you will discover a ton, worth following profiles in the communities of people in this list. lists.inlens.xyz/ in general is a great starting point.
(2) find your twitter contacts on lens: inlens.xyz/ * (not everyone with a lens profile, active on twitter, is very active on lens (yet ;-)). Maybe consider connecting with new people, sharing interesting content on lens.)
(3) probably you read this post on @lenster.lens . If you are interested in lens mobile apps, @orbapp.lens and @buttrfly.lens are at the moment - imo - the most advanced general purpose lens mobile apps. One of the beautiful things regarding lens is that it doesn't matter which lens app you use, every lens app has access to the same content and social graph.
(4) what you share on lens is stored and publicly available for a very long time. Probably forever. You can hide posts, comments and mirrors. But that's a front-end feature, the data is still available and publicly accessible.
(5) "collects" are a very powerful concept, adding a NFT version of the post to your address (4th symbol below a post on @lenster.lens ). Collects can be monetised -> creators can use collect fees to earn money on lens.
one more thing :-) being active, commenting on posts and topics you are interested in goes a long way. Of course there is a chance that your posts will be discovered, commented and mirrored, but you increase the probability of being discovered dramatically with valuable comments. @jeanmi.lens : "be yourself, try to engage with people, sharing images seems to accelerate engagement/growth, people love to 'GM'"
It is quite challenging to get attention, especially for new profiles. A few approaches to get more visibility:
**[1]** @animators.lens started on lens drawing lens PFPs https://lenster.xyz/posts/0x0108fb-0x75 . Imo still one of the best (high quality) growth hacks I’ve seen on lens yet (0 to 100 followers). Maybe you can think of something inspired by @animators.lens ’ idea based on your talent and skills.
**[2]** consider joining communities on @diversehq.lens (e.g. you can post directly to the @mixtape.lens feed, be active in the #lensfit community or join c/food) and/or communities on @orbapp.lens .
**[3]** consider contributing content to the weekly @thisweekon.lens highlight series ( https://lenster.xyz/posts/0x01d898-0x04 ) or other content threads. (Keep an eye on @ryanfox.lens ;-).)
**[4]** consider participating in campaigns / events on lens or create an event (maybe check out #OPENLENS for reference). (If you plan to create something please feel free to reach out 🤍)
**[5]** consider joining lens spaces on @buttrfly.lens .
**[6]** @ profiles you think your content is relevant for or you would like to get input from. Pls be selective and not spammy.

- Why is God a lobster?
God is a lobster, a double articulation relative to substance and form, of imposition and actualization. Substances are formed matters, i.e. territories. The forms are forms of codification and decodification, that is to say, reterritorialization and deterritorialization.
At bottom, "god is a lobster" is a formula for creativity coined by Deleuze and Guattari, the purpose of thought is to be inventive, to create new concepts, analogies or forms of understanding. It applies to art, science and everything you can think of.
Placing yourself within a territory, saying I am this or that, is not necessarily bad (at least you will be able to laugh at the same memes with your peers), but staying there prevents you from developing your creative potential, I even dare to say that staying too territorialized is equivalent to madness in a negative sense, remember that the only eternal thing is change and always doing the same thing expecting different results is not coincidentally one of its definitions.
Deleuze and Guattari propose us to be nomads, to cross the limits constantly, not too fast and aggressive to fall into the void and self-destruct, but enough to treat yourself as a work of art in constant creation, the Nietzschean superman-child that recreates the world. It is easier to insert ourselves into pre-existing forms because this saves us the arduous task of having to create ourselves, to say I am this or that based on a few youtube videos, the psychological disorder in fashion or some Netflix series that made us awaken our sense of revelation, is to let our mental energy territorialize in the symbols that the system serves us on a platter for us to identify ourselves, it is to let ourselves be dragged by inertia.
To some extent this is inevitable when we come into the world and we are impressionable little ones trying to enter the language, but there is a reason why the myth of rebirth is present in all religions, this is an inevitable process of development and expansion of being, and also the true meaning of the concept of deconstruction coined by Derrida, disassemble the parts to rebuild them in a more current, functional, beautiful or perfect way, but not that this deconstruction is no longer given by an Other (this is the trap desertas of this concept today), if not discover it through the game. To navigate in the world of language we have to find those signifiers that signify us, but to treat them as a child treats his toys even when he throws them out of the window.
So why is god a lobster? Because this double articulation between substance and form, or between essence and matter is also the structure of the divine, God is the totality of real, Espinoza would say.

This will be my first music release here on lens.
It's an early demo of my song "This Song" which came out in 2017. I probably wrote this on the road around 2015/2016. It has a lot of the final ideas, but totally different type of beat. This is what I showed Rostam, and we built from there.
It's unfinished and unpolished but it's kinda fun to look back at where ideas originated.
