- Community 10x intrinsic motivation in an organisation or group. Self determination theory (most established theory of motivation) identifies three core motivators: - agency (volition) - competence (feeling capable) - relatedness (aka belonging ...aka community!)
- But community and organisation are also synergistic A sense of community brings trust and wellbeing which enable better organisation. And effective organisation can enable value flows that sustain the community.
- To have impact beyond one's individual capacity, we need community. But let's not confuse community with organisation. Two different things, generating different results
- Shoutout to my grandma who posted this conversation on her Facebook. Now, I have dozens of retired women cheering me on from FL, letting me know what "an amazing lady" I am. Made my week ❤️ 🤗 https://t.co/mnXxKihmRH

- 4) exhausting possibilities (here's where they start to increase what they charge or essentially struggle to find new sources of growth other than charging users more or using their data or some other thing we dislike. The decline starts and early whistle blowers appear)
- In the traditional world, shareholders control platforms. Contrary to popular belief, they're not evil, rather they are simply stuck in the machine: Investors are bound to their own investors, without ROI, they get fired. So they must keep maximising ROI
- Pick your time wisely, not with fear nor guided by one-size-fits-all roadmaps. Pick with strategy.

- if we aim high, we then need to grow fast which means investing heavily... and if we fall behind on the numbers, we become unfundable and it's game over
