- Some say surfing is the ultimate practice of presence. For me, it’s snowboarding. Serenity doesn’t come from being in the ocean with 100 people for one wave. It comes from being in the mountains and working harder than everyone else to be alone or with your best friends floating on powder crystals. Everything in my life has come from this single activity. If I had never been introduced to snowboarding my life and network would be WILDLY different today.
