- **LIP-4: Profile Guardian**
We're creating a proposal to add a safety layer into Lens Protocol profiles to help Lens users to protect against phishing scams.
NFT owners including Lens profiles have been recently targeted with phishing attempts. While it's disheartening to see people lose their NFTs or profiles, we want to be proactive and innovate on the safety standards for NFTs.
We are introducing Profile Guardian which disables certain critical actions such as approvals and transfers for Lens profiles. Profile Guardian is enabled by default and can be opted-out if profile owners want to move it to a new address.
Disabling it will activate a 7-day cooldown period. During the 7-day cooldown period, services such as Lens API can track and provide the data to clients, who can notify users that their profiles are in an unsafe state, and recommend actions to secure the profile.
We hope Profile Guardian inspires others to improve end-user security when interacting with NFTs, especially as more users onboard into the web3 space.

- What is 'Blockchain'?
A blockchain is a database that is updated and shared between computers on a network.
The newly added sets of transactions are called "blocks", hence the name of the blockchain.
Most blockchains are public and data can only be added, not removed.
If someone tries to change any information or trick the system,
It should do it on most computers on the network. That means lots of computers.
This makes accepted blockchains like Ethereum highly secure.
The first step in a blockchain transaction usually begins with a user requesting a transaction.
Any 'write' to the blockchain is a transaction. This is from deploying a smart contract to the chain,
from buying an NFT, buying an ENS name, etc. includes everything.
Transactions are requests for your action to be verified and added to the chain.
To successfully execute a transaction on the blockchain,
usually a gas fee (a transaction fee on the blockchain) is required.
When there is a lot of traffic and high demand for the network,
Gas charges increase as block space is limited.
Next, nodes verify the transaction and then receive a reward for participating in the verification process (usually the reward,
it will be the main cryptocurrency of the blockchain).
Then, the block is officially added to the existing blockchain.
Next, the blockchain receives an update to the entire network and officially reflects this transaction.
Now the blockchain chain,
Now that we've learned a little about how processes work,
In our next article, we will move on to smart contracts.
Thank you for reading.
- Web 3.0
Many concepts that entered our lives with Web 2.0 gained a different dimension through Web 3.0 technologies.
For example, thanks to the concept of DeFi, which means decentralized finance, dependence on traditional finance platforms has decreased.
DApp, which means decentralized application, can be built on the basis in two different ways: Blockchain and P2P (peer-to-peer protocol).
Blockchain-based DApp applications allow crypto money transactions through the developed platform.
Users can earn money on the platform they use with the created cryptocurrencies.
Applications built on the basis of P2P allow users to directly exchange data between each other.
Another advantage of Web 3.0 is its high transparency. Users become part of platforms built with blockchain technologies.
Some blockchain-based applications perform verification with chains created with the participation of users.
Many platforms, especially Reddit and Discord, are working to use Web 3.0 technologies on their platforms.
As in every system, there are some disadvantages in Web 3.0. Cybercrime in decentralized systems,
It is very difficult to detect illegal behaviors such as bullying and hate speech.
In applications where users create blockchain chains, it is possible to say that security will become risky depending on the number of users.
Web3 key ideas
While it is difficult to give a precise definition of what Web3 is, a few basic principles guide its creation.
Web3 is decentralized: instead of large internet domains controlled and owned by centralized entities, ownership is distributed among its builders and users.
Web3 is not subject to permission: Everyone has equal access to join Web3 and no one is excluded.
Web3 has native payments: It uses cryptocurrency to spend and send money online, rather than relying on the outdated infrastructure of banks and payment processors.
Web3 is not trustworthy: It works based on incentives and economic mechanisms, rather than relying on trusted third parties.
- Web 2.0 - Centralized Web
Around 2005, internet speed increased significantly compared to the previous decade. More people than ever were connecting to the internet, and that number is growing every year.
It goes without saying that the web is experiencing rapid growth. People could now communicate instantly using chat apps like AOL Instant Messenger.
Spending 3 minutes to load a web page is now a thing of the past for most users. Most websites are starting to really have layouts instead of colorful backgrounds with text on them.
Websites that previously had very little user interaction have finally gained traction.
Businesses were created, communities were built, and education became more accessible through online resources.
For this reason, Web 2.0 is also known as the "read-write" web (as opposed to Web 1.0 being known as the "read-only" web).
This version of the Internet is the one most users are familiar with: the centralized web. The central web, also known as Web 2.0,
includes websites that store their content in a cloud storage management service such as CloudFlare or AWS (Amazon Web Services).
Basically, most sites on the mainstream internet are connected to a server run by Google, Amazon or other big name organizations.
If this is something like a hack or outage to cloud services,
means that all websites connected to these services will crash. Amazon Web Services in 2017,
There was a massive outage that lasted about 4 hours. This interruption was caused by an engineer executing the wrong command.
This was a huge problem for AWS, which hosts millions of sites on its platform.
Popular sites like Coursera, Medium, Docker, Slack and more were also down during this time.
It seems that 2017 was a tough year for the central web in general.
Alongside the aforementioned AWS outage was the massive Equifax Data Breach that affected 148 million customers.
- Hello everyone, instead of confusing your mind with a different title, we will talk about Blockchain and our future from the lowest level.
I want to teach you by sharing some information with you.
Since this topic is a bit long, I will tell you in two parts a day.
First of all, many people know and talk about crypto money.
some unfortunately lost, some won, some saw their relatives make money
He went in eagerly and lost a lot of money. Others have only heard of it.
we need to teach the most basic of this to protect you;
CODE NAME: WEB3
What is Web3, why does it exist, what is its purpose?
Web 1.0 - Root of Local Government
The Internet was invented at the height of the cold war between the United States and Russia in the 1970s.
US government,
Fearing that an attack would disable their weapon systems, they set up a decentralized system that included multiple computer networks across the country.
That way, if anything happens, the existing defense system will still be operational.
Tim Berners-Lee in 1989
was developing the technology that would eventually become the World Wide Web.
What exactly was his vision for the web? worldwide decentralized,
was to create open source knowledge sharing.
Web 1.0 is defined as the web version that existed between 1990 and 2004.
During this time, the internet consisted mainly of static websites owned by individual companies.
Because the web is facing a slow adoption rate, most sites had little or no user interaction.
Web 1.0 is often referred to as the "read-only" web, as user interaction is practically nonexistent at these times.
See you in the next tweet.
- It was the best turning point of my life.
I love the Formula1 and Hoodies Fam..
- If you want to get somewhere in this life, if you want to achieve something, what you need to do is very simple;
1) Be yourself,
2) Work hard,
3) Try to solve the difficulties, never give up.
4) Do not try to prove yourself to people. Be yourself and in time you will be appreciated and rewarded for your success.
5) Do not think that you are doing something well,
If you think that way, you will always make mistakes.
6) Concentrate on one area, but have knowledge in every area. Because all information and fields are interconnected.
7) Never lose your self-confidence.
8) Focus on what goes through your heart, not what comes out of people's mouths.
9) Thank you for taking the trouble to read this far.✌☕🏁
