- Captured the soul of this moment a couple years back during a daily check up on the cattle stock in my family farm at La Marina, Valley of Cauca. 🇨🇴
I remember walking and crouching towards this heart warming scene, very slowly.
Our dogs Kaluah and Baileys were very close by, they like to bark and even chase cows so I could definitely miss the shot at any moment.
Luckily, I think there were also moved by all the cows staring and saying goodbye at her passing friend and I was able to immortalize this moment.
We checked for snake, spider bites or bruises but we couldn’t find any, died of natural causes most likely apthose fever or carbon disease, very common in cattle stocks.
Since meat due to this reason is not suitable for consumption, we buried her to protect the rest of infections, bacteria and scavenger animals. It started raining during the process, but I remember having very fun conversations with the laborers that were assisting the case.
I feel honored to have mother nature always teaching and inspiring in magical ways. Life and Death are different starting degrees from this never ending mystical loop.
I present to you: “Las Depedidas” (Farewells in Spanish) my first 1-of-1 piece from my “Good Eye Kid” photography series 👁️
