CybersecurityProgramming languages for cybersecurity pros; strengthening the defense against cyber threats
Cybersecurity has become a paramount concern for organizations and individuals in the rapidly evolving digital landscape. As cyber threats evolve in sophistication, cybersecurity professionals must equip themselves with the right tools and knowledge to combat these challenges effectively. Programming languages play a crucial role in the arsenal of cybersecurity professionals, enabling them to understand, analyze, and defend against cyber threats.
Python:
Python has emerged as a top choice among cybersecurity professionals due to its versatility, ease of use, and a vast array of libraries and frameworks. It is ideal for vulnerability scanning, network scripting, and developing security tools. Python’s simplicity and extensive community support make it an excellent choice for beginners and experienced cybersecurity professionals.

- Just one day after a flurry of activity on its highly anticipated Ethereum layer-2 network, and it looks like scammers used the freshly minted Bald token to target Coinbase’s latest product.
Base, which America’s biggest cryptocurrency exchange hopes will be a new ecosystem for crypto projects, launched earlier this month.
But today, it looks like one of the new tokens—Bald, which dropped yesterday—was a rug pull after the token’s deployer removed $25.6 millions of dollars in liquidity.
Rug pulls are notoriously common in the crypto world—especially the sphere of decentralized finance (DeFi).
They happen when a developer launches a new token and makes it seem as though the project is legit and then removes the liquidity and disappears.

The Network said in a statement signed by its Secretary-General, Ousman Sillah, following its two-day conference in Abuja that it had decided that each African nation should create a national framework for skill certification that would facilitate labour migration across the continent.

China is ramping up efforts to wean itself off foreign technology by launching its first open-source desktop operating system (OS) last week, but it faces an uphill task getting its citizens to use it widely.
The OS, called OpenKylin and developed by state-owned China Electronics Corp – formed in 1989 to build home-grown semiconductors, software and telecommunications products – is aimed at replacing foreign-owned software that currently dominates the market. It did not set a timeline for achieving this.
The project is Beijing’s latest move to build greater self-sufficiency amid tech sanctions – such as those on Huawei and ZTE – over “national security” concerns by the United States.

BEIJING - China is ramping up efforts to wean itself off foreign technology by launching its first open-source desktop operating system (OS) last week, but it faces an uphill task getting its citizens to use it widely.
The Chinese authorities had in 2019 ordered all government offices and public institutions to remove foreign computer equipment and software in three years.
“A lot of the major software, especially Windows, is controlled by US companies,” said Associate Professor of Computer Science Ben Leong from the National University of Singapore. “There is nothing stopping the US from passing some law to force US companies to stop support for China and Chinese companies.”
China is still a long way from dislodging the incumbents, such as Microsoft’s Windows and Apple’s MacOS.
