- I just claimed my $BONSAI reward on @lens/orb!
- I was probing around the friend tech frontend and API to see what data was actually publicly available and how easy it'd be to find a hole in their systems a few days ago.
In the process, I wrote all of the API endpoints I could find into a mock 'API docs': https://github.com/kopy-kat/friend-tech-api that I hope can be useful to someone.
Here are two of my main takeaways:
- The team is actively taking steps to restrict public data/endpoints (eg portfolio can now only be accessed by the user and search also requires an auth token as of today)
- The FT team is definitely the same team that created and rugged the Kosetto NFT collection (they use their old api url and even have the config pointing to the NFT contract left in there)
- They have started fetching more data on the server side (Nextjs frontend), so finding more API endpoints will be increasingly harder
- Lets get Mick Jagger to propose LIP-3
- The option to tldr a longer post on orb using AI is such a useful feature esp for longer (product) announcements.
Really feels like the lens ecosystem as a whole is reaching general feature parity with existing social networks and new developers can build novel features that don’t exist in web2.
- Doge = new logo of Twitter. It's happening 🙈
- I think Japan has been the number 1 country I’ve wanted to go for years now. I’m so pumped to go to ETHTokyo next week!
- Has anyone built a way to schedule posts on lens yet (similar to buffer or publer for twitter, LinkedIn etc)
- Historical pictures of Vienna created using Midjourney 🤯
- I'm trying out @wav3s - a tool that lets you pay users who share your content on Lens! 🌿
You can earn 1 Matic by simply mirroring this post (up to 100 Matic)! 🌟
I really love that we can monetize and pay directly through the platform. This is the power of web3 social ⚡️ (gm)
Good luck!
- Reminds me of crypto
- My DMs are open
- Hey Lens frens, we’ve shipped a new feature to make it easy for anyone network like @stani.lens!
You can now use the Signet mobile app to create and mint “you’ve met me” POAPS in two steps - no wallet connection required. Find out more at https://www.signet3.xyz/blog/you-met-me-poaps and dm us on Twitter if you have any questions!
- At this point it feels like the standard that web3 events are free including food and drinks. I’m almost unwilling to pay for events at this point bc it just feels normal that everything is free. Not sure how that’s going to scale w the growing space though 🤔
- Is it possible to restrict the visibility of a lens post to only members of some group (eg followers)?
- Random winners / random raffles
I’ve seen a couple of accounts toying with the idea of random winners / random raffles ( @hazbobo.lens, @gotenks.lens )
Here is an idea for how to provide a credible public random winner in the lens community. caveat: you need to be a bit technical.
step 1: select a secret word
step 2: collect the handles of all the lens profiles in the pot
step 3: hash each lens handle + secret word
step 4: post each hash as comment to the original raffle post
step 5: the community itself pics the handle out of the pot by voting with likes on the hash/post they choose.
step 6: reveal the secret word so anyone can check who won.
infact we can test it on this post if you like. mirror this post if you want to participate.
I'll think of a prize at the end 😆 (probably an nft from mainnet). Raffle entries end this Sunday. #LFGrow !!!!
#idea #prize #experiment
- A unified social graph just makes so much sense. Irl all our social interactions are based on a single social graph we have in our head, so why would you fragment an online social graph. Every way in which you interact with others online should be on one graph that becomes identical with your irl or “real” social graph
- So excited for DMs, they’re a huge feature that has been missing in the Lens stack
- Has anyone tried building social recovery mechanisms based on lens?
- Putting the whiteboard to good use
- 🔔🔔🔔 Pick the conversation from where you left off!
All Lens notifications are finally here🔔🔔🔔
@orbapp.lens
- Vienna in autumn is beautiful.
I’m always reminded of my favorite line of German poetry for any other German speakers on Lens:
“Wer jetzt kein Haus hat, baut sich keines mehr.
Wer jetzt allein ist, wird es lange bleiben,
Wird wachen, lesen, lange Briefe schreiben
Und wir in den Alleen hin und her unruhig wandern, wenn die Blätter treiben.“
- RM Rilke
- Imagine being able to tokengate who can view your lens posts. 🤔 This could enable both private social networking features such as only followed being able to see posts as well as enable creators by, for example, being able to monetise content like blog posts.
- Didn’t realise that devcon continued at the Bogotá airport
- Just got onboarded onto @orbapp.lens! Im super excited to be able to use lens on my phone just like any other social media app now
- Super excited to have built Trustless Pilot at ETHBogota! We built an sdk to make online reviews more trustworthy and honest. To do this, we allowed users to create a reputation for posting useful reviews and filtered the order of reviews by this. On top of that, we used @lensxyz.lens to create a personalised viewing experience, weighing reviews more highly when the reviewer is closer to you in your social graph. We also integrated @worldcoin.lens to allow users to prove their humanity and give them a higher weight in order to reduce the effect of bot reviews.
It was an amazing experience! Check out our submission here: https://ethglobal.com/showcase/trustless-pilot-dn8m9
- Super excited to start building some social features into signet3.xyz. Meet someone at a conference or community meetup? Save their wallet address, mint them a POAP saying that they've met you or follow them on Lens. Pumped to show this off at Devcon Bogota!
- gm all! 👋
Today I wanted to introduce you to Sismo and explain you what ZK Badges are 🧵⬇️
(stay until the end, there might be a badge to mint 👀🎁)
What is Sismo?
Sismo is « a modular Attestations Protocol focused on decentralization, privacy and usability. »
But what concretely does it mean?
Sismo enable you to prove on Ethereum to anyone, thanks to one of your addresses, that you are, have or did something. Theses proofs are represented by badges, which are non-transferable NFTs (ERC-1155 tokens). To be allowed to mint a badge, your address must be in the group of eligible addresses associated to it.
But now what if you could prove something with an address but receive the badge on another without any link between these two 👀
So proving something without doxing the address you used to prove it.
That’s what ZK Badges allow us to do!
With Sismo you prove directly in your browser that your address is part of a group of eligible addresses. It uses zk-SNARK technology.
Let’s take a simple example: you can prove, on an anon address (destination address), that you own a conference POAP, by using your ENS address (source address) which contain that POAP. And vice versa. But of course your source address allow you to only mint one badge on the destination address of your choice, no more.
This is a simple example but you can imagine much more useful ones!
There are obvious uses cases for Sismo and ZK Badges such as Sybil resistance. By the way Sismo has already shipped a “Sybil resistance” ZK Badge using Proof Of Humanity, go check this out: https://twitter.com/Sismo_eth/status/1569668644497510402?s=20&t=texAnda3oLd9C1iRjfFCdQ
So this allow you to prove that you are a human on an anon address using your POH registration (doxed) address. It’s not perfect yet but it’s a start and it shows how ZK Badges can be powerfull! 🔥
Privacy is necessary in the IT world and even more in an ecosystem like Ethereum where all our interaction are public. That’s why Sismo will help us to create anonymity on top of these concepts and more…
Now lt’s time for the little gift! 🎁
If you want to try out Sismo and get your very first ZK Badge ➡️ **Mirror** this post
Then, from 02/10/2022 you will be able to mint the badge associated to the proof that you Mirrored this post. I will let you now when it’s available and the steps to follow to mint it :))
Thanks for reading this thread and welcome to Sismo anon! :))

- It'd be cool to be able to group and display/hide NFTs on a profile like on rainbow.me. When looking at someone's profile who follows loads of people on Lens, it takes aeons to scroll past their Lens related NFTs to see their other collectibles. Just a thought @yoginth.lens
