- EIP-1153 will be a huge step forward for Ethereum and we hope to see in the next hard fork 🌴
Among other things, it saves gas on transactions — making it better for all dapps, including v4.
Let’s dive into it:
EIP-1153 introduces transient storage (or tstore 😉)
Instead of writing to storage and clearing it before the transaction is over, smart contracts will now be able to use transient storage, which is cheaper and enables some exciting use cases.
Let’s look at how v4 would use transient storage 😅
v4 introduces a singleton architecture, meaning all v4 pools will be held in one smart contract—making routing through multiple liquidity pools cheaper and quicker👇🏽
The singleton architecture is complimented by our new flash accounting system ⚡
Instead of transferring assets in and out of pools at the end of every swap—like in v3—this system transfers only on net balances. This makes accounting much cheaper in v4.
We believe EIP-1153 will be the best design for flash accounting because tstore makes it cheaper to set and clear a storage slot which is necessary for flash accounting to operate effectively.
What other projects do you think could be improved by EIP-1153?

- Chainlink Challenged: Competition Emerges for LinkMarines
Today we're joined by Jacob and Marcin, co-founders of RedStone. RedStone is an oracle in the crypto space picking up steam. We get into the nitty-gritty details of oracles, how RedStone is going up against the oracle monolith Chainlink, how they differentiate, and they share an exclusive update with us. But first we begin with Jakub and Marcin's introductions and what they're working on inside of RedStone.

- Ethereum gas fees spike is a great example why building web3 social interactions directly to Ethereum won’t be the way to onboard masses into social. Thats why combination of L2s and Momoka feels like right direction
- Many protocols have dependencies, so the base-layer protocols need to go immutable first. I think the ultimate goal for any protocol is:
1. immutable codebase with governance set parameters
2. protocol will always be able to function regardless of what params are set
3. parameter management is used to make the protocol run more efficiently/smoothly/increase the value prop to users
Then you need a DAO comprised of voters from all over the world (for now, token holders), and contributors (entities or individuals) paid by the DAO to meet certain goals (bizdev, treasury management, operations for incentives, marketing, developing, risk analysis, etc, etc). DAO votes only needed to change params (or protocol could even allow certain params to be owned by a diff address than the DAO) & to send on-chain funds to the various entities/contributors.
If a single entity rugs the protocol or has to cease operations b/c of their local regulations, DAO & protocol would lose $ but would overall still be functional and able to continue. Separately, contributors need better guidelines on how to best contribute - not an easy task as the right answer depends on both where they are and what they are doing, and most combinations of that don't have a "right answer" right now.

- can I share more alpha here cuz less ppl see it
got some fun stuff cookin for Alchemix
- Will be interesting to see if the "new" memecoins from this current mini-bull market (which is all just ppl who have stuck around in crypto since the bull) take off fully in the next bull, or if they will already be too old and new memecoins will take over (or will doge continue to reign supreme?)
While super dumb, memecoins are also super interesting because it's either:
1. all in good fun/total gambling
or
2. very intense pvp
depending on who you are
- The avg revenue per profile on Lenster is ~$50, & the avg $ per collect is ~null.87.
Vs. for a piece of content w/o a brand partnership on traditional social:

- $18 for 1K views on YouTube
h/t @messari.lens for an outstanding deep dive on Lens.
*"The direct-to-consumer monetization feature on Lens lowers the barrier to entry for creators to generate revenue. Creators who have been disadvantaged by extinguished royalty payments can now turn to decentralized social media as a potential source of income"*
*"Furthermore, there is no measurable correlation between the wallet value and a user’s influence on the Lens platform suggesting that net worth is not a prerequisite for success. The level playing field opens up opportunities for creators from diverse backgrounds to earn revenue without any significant upfront investment. It also highlights the importance of creating an application that appeals to a broad market audience, rather than catering to a specific user segment*"

- My only complaint with @rabby.lens is that I can't seem to find a way to display how much gas token I have for the network I'm connected to. Am I missing something here? If not possible, that's my top requested feature.

- "Crypto" means different things to different people.
The public figures who stake their identity on being against it have a completely different view of it than the people building in crypto during this bear market.
Detractors see crypto as a threat to everyday citizens and consumers.
But what if crypto is or at least has the potential to be exactly the opposite of what these detractors believe? 🤔
For us, being "pro-crypto" means being pro...

- I wanted to try something new.
This will be my first music release here on lens.
It's an early demo of my song "This Song" which came out in 2017. I probably wrote this on the road around 2015/2016. It has a lot of the final ideas, but totally different type of beat. This is what I showed Rostam, and we built from there.
It's unfinished and unpolished but it's kinda fun to look back at where ideas originated.
