- "Futuro cogido con pinzas" by Da2 in Guardo, Spain, for Candajo Pispajo in 2022.
The phrase "futuro cogido con pinzas" can be translated to English as "a future taken with a grain of salt." However, to maintain the idiomatic meaning of the phrase, it might be better to use a phrase like "a future grasped with tweezers," which conveys the idea of approaching the future with caution or skepticism.

Landscape Evolution.
This image shows a series of long meandering ridges on the floor of a large ancient crater. Ridges such as these can be indicative of a number of geologic processes and tells us a story of the history of this region of Mars.
In some cases magma (molten rock) below the surface may fill an existing and somewhat vertical tectonic fracture, even pushing the fracture open in the process. As the magma cools, it solidifies into a tabular rock mass. This resulting cooled volcanic rock is called a "dike."
The new rock is often harder and more resistant to erosion than the surrounding country rock (the fractured rock of the original landscape). Later the entire region might have experience erosion from wind or water, removing weaker rocks and soils and leaving stronger rock outcrops standing. As the landscape is stripped away the harder volcanic rock remains standing as a long wall or ridge.
Alternatively glaciers often contain internal rivers from melting ice that flow along their base where the ice meets the ground. These subglacial rivers can carry enormous amounts of rocks and soil sediments, depositing them along their length. When the glacier retreats it leave behind a narrow ridge of river-bed sediments that stands above the surrounding surface. In this case the ridge is called an "esker."
A river flowing along the surface in the absence of a glacier can produce erosion and deposition along the river bed. It can also chemically alter the river bottom, through deposition of minerals and salts that cement the soils and rocks. Later, after the river has dried up, erosion of the landscape can leave the altered river bed standing above the surrounding terrain, called an "inverted channel."
So what happened in Peta Crater? Analysis of this image might reveal characteristics, such as layers along the ridge walls that would indicate the ridge was deposited by flowing water. Rocks and boulders might be found eroding from the ridge, their size and shape offering clues to the strength of the ridge material; fractured and angular solid rock from a dike or loosely bound rounded boulders tumbled along a river bed.

- 100 Years Old Photo Camera in Afghanistan 🇦🇫
Some things are truly priceless, and this is one of them.
To have the opportunity to talk to a man who has been capturing moments through photography for 65 years, to touch a camera over a century old, and to physically receive a photograph—these experiences are beyond compare. The dearest souvenir so far has cost me around $35 (originally $50), but we got a discount since we were a group.
As the photographic paper used to produce negatives is quite expensive and hard to come by. Kristijan promised Haji Mirzaman two rolls of film when he returns next time. What do you say, how did the photo turn out? 😍
- My take is that it depends what type of profiles we're talking about :
Content creator (eg: twitch streamers) ? yeah, absolutely
Random gamers, not so sure. I personally don't want the people that can insult me in the lobby to follow me on the Lensverse. Toxicity in gaming is much too common.
---
I think games, their artefacts and their infrastructure would benefit more from decentralized storage and decentralized servers, but there's the problem of intellectual property. The day Nintendo will agree to see players run their own servers for Pokémon Home/Bank or to host a game of Smash Bros MELEE (yes, the one from gamecube era aka like 20y ago), hell will 1) be a thing 2) be frozen.
The major companies in the industry makes wayyy too many bucks locking players in the ecosystem + infra (eg: exclusive platform games + subscription based plan to play online or buy games) to move towards decentralization imo.
For distribution, decentralize infra & file storage could be interesting, especially for assets/mods creators and "smaller" game devs but itch is alreadt pretty good as it is right now, with the platform letting creators set how many % of their sales they want to give to the platform.
tbh if someone builds a decentralized modding platform, it will probably have the same issue as existing platforms (excluding steam labs maybe) : UX.
As for the metaverse : I personally don't have an opinion regarding this because I don't see what the fuss is all about, plenty of game-related experience were/are the metaverse. Couple of examples I can think of : imvu, Nintendo's streetpass, playstation home... all of these would benefit from web3 via decentralized/community-ran servers and infrastructures, more than the social layer
that's just my opinion tho, i'm not an expert or anything, i just enjoy playing games. I'm also not bullish at all on "blockchain games" and "web3 gaming" because web3 and blockchain should not be the reason why i want to play a game. Those should just be technical features the games use in an interesting way but not the main selling point

- `getting started` with #lens in 5 steps 🪴 [June 2023 update]
(0 a) maybe consider adding some information about yourself and a pfp to your profile before you start.
(0 b) "hello world" posts get quite some attention ... 😉 . (if you can post something related to what you are interested in ... 🎇 -> People you start following might take a look at your profile and follow if they are interested in the content you share.) Find one great example at the end of the post.
(1) https://lists.inlens.xyz/lists/818891525288558593 *updated* - list of great profiles to start your lens journey ... you will discover a ton, worth following profiles in the communities of people in this list. lists.inlens.xyz/ in general is a great starting point.
(2) find your twitter contacts on lens: inlens.xyz/ (not everyone with a lens profile, active on twitter, is very active on lens (yet ;-)). Maybe consider connecting with new people, sharing interesting content on lens.)
(3) probably you read this post on @lenster.lens . If you are interested in lens mobile apps, @orbapp.lens and @buttrfly.lens are at the moment - imo - the most advanced general purpose lens mobile apps. One of the beautiful things regarding lens is that it doesn't matter which lens app you use, every lens app has access to the same content and social graph.
(4) what you share on lens is stored and publicly available for a very long time. Probably forever. You can hide posts, comments and mirrors. But that's a front-end feature, the data is still available and publicly accessible.
(5) "collects" are a very powerful concept, adding a NFT version of the post to your address (4th symbol below a post on @lenster.lens ). Collects can be monetised -> creators can use collect fees to earn money on lens.
**one more thing** :-) being active, commenting on posts and topics you are interested in goes a long way. Of course there is a chance that your posts will be discovered, commented and mirrored, but you increase the probability of being discovered dramatically with valuable comments. @jeanmi.lens increased his followers +5k within 39 days. How he did it? "be yourself, try to engage with people, sharing images seems to accelerate engagement/growth, people love to ‘GM'"
One more one more thing ;-) the latest notification update shows notifications for profiles one follows and a few other profiles only (if the filter isn’t deactivetd). -> at the time of writing it’s quite challenging to get attention, especially for new profiles. 2 approaches to get some visibility:
**[1]** @animators.lens started on lens drawing lens PFPs https://lenster.xyz/posts/0x0108fb-0x75 . Imo still one of the best (high quality) growth hacks I’ve seen on lens yet (0 to 100 followers). Maybe you can think of something inspired by @animators.lens ’ idea based on your talent and skills.
**[2]** consider joining the next “little lens game” edition :-) https://lenster.xyz/posts/0x0f85-0x1407 . The little lens games intends to be fun (of course :-)) and requires to follow other lens profiles for 24/48 hours closely. -> your content will have at least some exposure to people beyond your followers. (Please let me know if you would like to join.)
**[3]** consider joining communities on @diversehq.lens (e.g. you can post directly to the @mixtape.lens feed, be active in the #lensfit community or join c/food)
**[4]** consider contributing content to the weekly “this week on lens” series ( https://lenster.xyz/posts/0x0f85-0x18c1 ) or other content threads.
**[5]** @ profiles you think your content is relevant for or you would like to get input from. Pls be selective and not spammy.
