- Snapchat’s AI bot 🤖 is available for free to every user. You can name it and dress it. Some interesting things I’ve noticed:
- It’s FAST! In my opinion it’s actually too fast, they would do better by making it appear to type like ChatGPT. It’s frustrating in the same way it would be if you were typing on a phone while your friend just speaks really quickly…
- it has some idea of your location without being too granular
- it can understand photos
- it can’t look up anything recent like sports scores or news.

- No, I would say convenience itself neutralises sadness, but doesn't add happiness, but the extra free time and opportunities that convenience grants you can add to happiness if you use them wisely.
Anxiety levels have been on the rise since the introduced of the smartphone and it mostly affects liberal women and teen girls, but anxiety isn't a measurement of happiness. It's also easy to fall into that belief because of social media platforms as they're extremely negative, and only roughly 2 - 10% of accounts make up for the discussions. It's a different story if you just go out of your way to find hard data.
I'll also mention again though. There was alot of human suffering even just 100 years ago. Do you think people aren't happier now on average when less people are being tortured/murdered on a mass scale?
You should check out the book I mentioned aswell if you're interested. it's really good at giving you a clear view of human progress in the last 30 years.
