- **Vitalik Buterin & StarkWare Invest in KAKAROT** 👀
Kakarot is an (zk)-Ethereum Virtual Machine implementation written in Cairo. It leverages STARK proofs for provable transactions and blocks, ensuring transparency and security.
Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin and blockchain scaling enterprise StarkWare, Co-founder of Ledger, Co-founder of Zama… inested in Pre-seed round.
What makes Kakarot stand out?
✅ Kakarot utilizes zero-knowledge proofs to bolster privacy while upholding the Ethereum network's trust and security, introducing an elevated level of confidentiality to decentralized applications.
✅ Kakarot empowers developers to construct smart contracts that uphold data privacy while ensuring transparency, unlocking a realm of opportunities for industries like finance, healthcare, and supply chain, where safeguarding sensitive information is crucial.
✅ Kakarot's modular design enables seamless integration into pre-existing Ethereum infrastructure, providing developers in the ecosystem with accessibility. Its compatibility with widely-used Ethereum tools ensures that a diverse range of developers can readily incorporate it into their projects.
✅ By granting users control over their data, it unleashes novel opportunities for decentralized finance, secure voting systems, supply chain management, and various other applications. The age of privacy-preserving blockchain is now at hand!
There are 3 phases in development:
Phase 1: Kakarot zkEVM on Starknet
Phase 2: Kakarot x Madara - L3 zkEVMs
Phase 3: Kakarot x Madara — type 1 zkEVM
Kakarot marks the initial step in this journey. With the increasing adoption of modular ZK-EVMs by developers, we anticipate remarkable strides in privacy, scalability, and usability within the blockchain realm. This paves the way for exciting advancements yet to come.
Let’s skin in the early GEM!

- #Identity on #Lens makes no sense.
Each user has a profile NFT that they can trade, sell, and etc.
When user A follow user B on Lens, user A is issued a follow NFT into wallet holding the profile A.
i.e you can have profile A in one wallet and the follow A NFTs in another.
- Where my Twitter refugees at?
- Lens protocol is getting stronger and more important every day. This is why decentralization is important. It is ignorance to restrict your thoughts. Every user matters. Not your keys, not your content.

My name is Endee, a music artist from the UK.
Being new to web3 Im always keen to learn more, collaborate with other independent artists with similar interests. Recently i've been taking some time away from centralised social media and algorithms that would control my feed. Im excited to start my journey with lens with my first official release a song I wrote called "smile". @mixtape.lens @creators.lens #music #sound #song

- Web3 social platforms are on the verge of disrupting traditional Web2 social platforms by addressing their shortcomings. But how are they doing it? To answer this question, Research Analyst @allyz.lens delves into user behavior and engagement on one of the leading social graphs, @lens_protocol.lens
In case you're not familiar, Lens Protocol is a smart contract social graph built on Polygon that empowers creators to own their Web3 identity, data, and connections. What sets this platform apart is the competitive nature of the various apps on top of this social graph.
To stand out in this ecosystem and attract users, developers need to create the most innovative and useful applications. Many Lens Protocol applications, including @lenster.lens, @phaver.lens, and @orbapp.lens have done just that, experiencing a significant increase in daily active users and engagements.
However, while engagement serves as a critical indicator of health and adoption, Lens Protocol's engagement features have some nuances not typical of Web2 social platforms. These features include posts and comments that are user-owned and stored within a ProfileNFT, collects that are a method for creators to earn revenue also stored as an NFT, mirrors that are similar to an RT with potential use case for advertising, and more.
But the primary distinction between Web2 and Web3 social apps lies in the interoperability of Web3 apps. Web3 apps enable seamless connection to any front-end application on the social graph, which is crucial for the success of a social ecosystem. The dynamics of user interactions within an ecosystem can be understood by analyzing network graphs. If you're interested in learning more about Lens Protocol's network graph, influential applications, user behavior, user retention and migrations, and what lies ahead, check out the full enterprise report from @allyz.lens. It's a must-read for anyone interested in the future of social media.

- Inspired by @karma3labs.lens I built a visualisation of the #EigenTrust algorithm 😁
I wanted to see if different graph topologies would have an effect on the trust scores mainly.
But I did added the option to add an 'malicious' actor to see how the network will work to decrease the trust level. (a bit buggy)

- We're proud to introduce Lens Improvement Proposals (LIPs). This open, collaborative process will guide the future development of Lens Protocol.
Taking inspiration from the successful Ethereum Improvement Proposals (EIPs) and Aave Improvement Proposals (AIPs), LIPs takes a step towards decentralized governance. The LIPs process will foster an inclusive, transparent and collaborative environment.
You will find how to participate in LIPs in the Lens Protocol’s GitHub repository, which streamlines the community participation process. It gives anyone the chance to submit proposals, and promotes open discussion.
Let's dive into the first three proposals that are live today:
LIP-0: Establishing an Open Governance Model. A process where the Lens community can propose improvements to Lens Protocol. From the submission of proposals to transparent discussions — we aim to foster an open, collaborative, and inclusive decision-making governance model.
LIP-1: Open Standards for Algorithms. A proposal to establish open standards for algorithms — based on the open Lens data layer — that will encourage the development of third-party algorithms, diverse experiences and provide user choice.
LIP-2: Open Standards for Metadata. An initiative to establish metadata standards for Lens Protocol, promoting transparency, interoperability, and user empowerment.
Take a deep dive into LIPs in our latest blog: https://mirror.xyz/lensprotocol.eth/8uxN9fMYBOqyDW5yZ6O3DDdOLEv1jJtxcw9qk4c4wgM
LIPs are our next step in enabling community involvement in shaping Lens Protocol's future.
