Uno de mis tantos viajes entre Lisboa y Nápoles. Aquella vez el avión salió super temprano, y por esa razón fue casi un vuelo perfecto: tuve asiento en la ventana, muchísimo silencio, casi todos durmiendo, y un amanecer impresionante que disfruté tomando un buen café.
Dormir es una actividad rara en mi vida. A veces duermo regularmente, como si fuera parte de una rutina. Otras veces mi ciclo de sueño se altera y duermo muy poco y a diferentes horarios del día... Pero en ambos casos hay algo constante: casi siempre duermo bien.
Antes de dormir me gusta meditar para disipar pensamientos tales como enojos, preguntas recursivas, ansias, cosas pendientes. Incluso trato de disipar alegrías intensas... no por que no quiera ser feliz, claro está, sino para hacer del sueño un momento abstracto, fuera de mi mente.
Cuando duermo trato que mi sueño sea un momento de re-conexión con lo cósmico y lo etéreo, con sensaciones no terrenales y de libertad... Y me parece en ese mismo viaje inmaterial era por donde andaban mis compañeros de fila mientras yo dibujaba y disfrutaba el amanecer.
Pero digame querida lectora,

One of my many trips between Lisbon and Naples. This time was a super early flight, and for that reason it was almost a perfect trip: I had a window seat, pure silence, almost everyone sleeping, and a stunning sunrise that I enjoyed drinking a good coffee.
Sleeping is a rare activity in my life. Sometimes I sleep regularly, as if it were part of a routine. Other times my cycle gets altered and I sleep very little and at different times of the day.... But in both cases there is one constant: I almost always sleep well.
Before going to sleep I like to meditate to dispel thoughts such as anger, recurring questions, anxieties, unfinished business. I even try to dispel intense joys... not because I don't want to be happy, of course, but to make of the sleep an abstract moment, out of my mind.
When I sleep, I try to make it a moment of reconnection with the cosmic and the ethereal, with non-earthly sensations and freedom... And it seems to me that my row mates were in that same immaterial journey while I was drawing and enjoying the sunrise.
But tell me dear reader,
