In Iran, Treejer is building an open-source protocol that unites tree funders and rural planters. Their blockchain-based platform connects people and organizations who wish to fund trees with rural communities that are paid to plant and maintain them as they grow.
Their Genesis NFT collection represents the first 10,000 trees to be planted via the protocol and they will be planted in 10 countries in Latin America, Africa, and the Middle East, as they work to uplift underserved communities while providing tangible climate change solutions.
