Presenting a 1/1 music video of my instrumental set in Raag Ahir Bhairav. The track is titled “Dhyan” or Meditation and what better artwork for it than the Buddha?
I sent an unreleased version of this track to my friend (the lady in the video) an artist, Layasthana and she created an artwork for this track.
I have been playing the Indian Bansuri for close to a decade now. I learn it in the Hindustani style of classical music. I was sitting one morning doing my usual practice and I played this melody which I then decided to record. I then sat down to lay down some music around the flute and some sounds were born. The percussion used in this song is the ancient Indian Pakhavaj, a magnificent instrument that can produce a thunderous sound when struck.
I proceeded to add a cello to add a touch of the ominous to it to complement the Raag that has a minor note ( Re, the second note). The rest of the music simply happened after that.
