- “Sonny Liston was the most intimidating fighter of all time. Mike \[Tyson] was intimidating, George \[Foreman] was intimidating, but Sonny Liston invented intimidation because unlike George and Mike, he was as mean in real life as he appeared to be in the ring.”
– Emmanuel Steward
- Ken Norton and power puncher Earnie Shavers!
They fought in 1979 and Shavers ko Norton in round 1!
- George Benton - an all round fighter good fighter because of his defensive skills and one of the smartest fighters. Despite his skill and ability he was never fought for a title. Benton was able to submit his knowledge and training to other fighters. Benton trained a number of noted fighters throughout the years, including Bennie Briscoe, Joe Frazier, Evander Holyfield, Johnny Bumphus, Mark Breland and Mike McCallum. For 17 years, Benton worked together with Lou Duva and Main Events as the head trainer for many of their fighters. Definitely a knowledgeable trainer in the sport of boxing. Benton, who was elected into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 2001 - no surprise there :)
- 1961! Floyd Patterson vs Tom McNeeley!
Floyd won the fight by ko!
Tom father of Peter McNeeley who fought Mike Mike Tyson in 1995!

- Just watched Hagler v Antofurmo fight. How the hell was that a draw. Hagler boxed his socks off for most of the fight. Brilliant the way switched from Southpaw to Orthodox so easy. Antofurmo didn't know where the punches were coming from next. Could,nt cope. Only in the latter rds did Hagler trade punches. By that time he,d already won the fight comfortably.
- Disregard that Crawford defeated Spence; Ryan Garcia wouldn't stand a chance against Spence.
Sure, the Garcia is fast and have a tremendous left hook, but let sleeping dogs lie.
- Joe Frazier and Jerry Quarry were two of the 1970s great Heavyweight Warriors. May they both Rest in Peace.....
- Extraordinary 24 minutes for Fran Garcia, Didn't let Lamine Yamal run for once, Fran was always going to beat him in pace, i guess Carlo got it wrong by putting Camavinga at LB.
It was Fran Garcia's substitution that actually turned the match in our court.
Take a bow our Flash.

- Garcia is going up to 147 because he cannot make 140. You all realize that these fights yall want with the top 140s aren't happening unless they are at a 145 Catch..Oscar LITTERLY SAID IT...AND RYAN LITTERLY SAID that he was going to 147. The best fight for him is Boots because any of the top 5 Welterweights would be a dangerous fight for Ryan and Boots has more of a following than any Welterweight outside of Crawford, who may never even fight at welter again.
- **My current top P4P**
1\. Canelo
2\. Crawford
3\. Inoue
4\. Bivol
5\. Davis.
You can put 1, 2, and 3 in any order you want because it is splitting hairs.
I picked these 5 because it's not about belts anymore, it's about putting asses in the seats. To me, these 5 guys are 5 fighters that will not disappoint the fans and would be the favorite in almost any fight that they would fight outside of some crazy difference in weight. I'm not picking anyone at 168 over Canelo, nobody at 147-154 over Crawford. Nobody from 122-126 over Inoue, Only Beterbiev, another killer, is favored by some over Bivol, and I'm not picking anyone from 135-140 over Davis.
I'm nowhere near the authority on anything but I just don't see anyone in those classes that just beats any of them.
Who are your current top P4Ps. I'm curious
- Smokin Joe Frazier rocking the purple rain look on his Harley- Davidson 🥊🥊🥊.
- Fantastic photo! What a line up!
Left to right! Beau Jack, Sandy Saddler, Carmen Basilio, Kid Gavilan, Ingemar Johansson, Gene Fullmer, Bob Foster, Ken Norton, George Chuvalo, Joe Frazier, Archie Moore,Jake Lamotta, Floyd Patterson!
- The man in this photo was taken in 1946. This guy is Ken Shimizu. He is 35 years old. He has 2 children. Shimizu never runs. Sleeps late. Eat whatever he wants. Even drink beer instead of water. Eat dinner with many kinds of food every night...
What does Shimizu do to get such a body?
Shimizu doesn't have any secrets.
Shimizu is the person sitting in the bottom left corner of the photo... As for the man standing in the middle, I'm not sure.

Giving my best again for this contest, i was quite unfortunate not to have been selected in the previous Kaira Contest round but this time i hope my short story convince the @lens/kaira4nigeria enough to look my side this time.
A very short story of my life goes thus, we have all had experiences in our lives that we often look back at and simle. We reminanace and wish we could go back to those moments because they were so beautiful annd precious or halirious. This is my nostalgia story 😊

The year was 2015, I was still in highschool at the time. In 2014, I had developed a love for scouting and so I joined the scouts club. I loved it so much that I contested for the position of deputy troop leader which I successfully got.
So in 2015, there were competitions among scout teams from different schools all over the country. They were scheduled to run for three days in a district that is located about four districts from where my home is so we had to ask for permission from our parents inorder for us to be able to go for the camp.
I asked daddy and he said yes but mum on the other hand said no. I was so diasppointed because I had already made plans with my friends. But then I thought to myself, *"they didn't specifically say that both parents have to say yes so as for as things go, am good to go."*
On the day of the trip, I left home as my normal self, like a good student heading to school to stufy. What mum didn't know was that instead of packing books, I had packed clothes. 🤣🤣 When we reached school, I joined my friends and we went for the camp. Those three days were some of my best moments ever😊.
We met so many new people from all kinds of ethinities. In the morning, we would go for jogging as a group, we would cook our own food which was a real challenge because most of us didn't know how to cook at the time. The most fun parts of the camp were the challenge valley, treasure hunting and camp fires. It took that one experience to cement the love for camping in my heart for life.🤗
Coming back home on the forth day, mum so angry with me but honestly speaking, I wasn't borthered because I had had my fun so I came back home ready for any punishment that she could possibly pull off.😂😂 She didn't punish me but she made it a habit to always check my bag pack before I head to school every morning 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I didn't know that I had it in me to be rebellious and neither did mum but I guess it was just a phase🤣.
Good times.🥂🥂

- Valentia Piano - Along the west coast of County Kerry in Ireland you will find the amazing Valentia Island. Attached by a bridge to the mainland, it is a place of beauty touched by years of history and the songs of the sea. Back in 2013 I managed to obtain a house there for a few weeks, I took my computer and mic with me not knowing what to expect when I got there. In one of the rooms sat a piano, and as my fingers touched the keys I knew there was a story there waiting to be told. The sound of the piano in that place was something very magical as 100mph winds battered the house and interrupted my recordings. Other material has since emerged from those days spent on the island, but the main body of work that I recorded there makes up this album’’ Originally released in 2013 it’s now been remastered and repressed on 180 Gram vinyl (with the original gatefold sleeve containing the lyrics inside). 500 vinyl copies due to be release April 19th 2024. @club/music @club/vinylandmusic @club/orb #music

It’s 2-1 thanks to Geny Catamo’s brace.

23 goals and 13 assists this season in all competitions for Mo Salah.
It’s his goal n. 2️⃣0️⃣9️⃣ as Liverpool player.
14 goals scored in 15 games against Man United.
Again, always Mo. ✨

DAZN should have talked to Eddie Hearn and Oscar De La Hoya about putting Hitchins vs Lemos as co-main event to Haney vs. Garcia instead of making it a separate event.
The fight card of Haney vs. Garcia right now is not good and it does not justify the high price for the pay-per-view. By putting Hitchins vs. Lemos as co-main event for Haney vs. Garcia, it atleast gives some sort of justification to the high price for the pay-per-view.
- Why i use Kaira platform more often than other dapps builded on Lens
Since Lens protocol is big right now and couple with the fact that users can sign up now, I thought it might be worth having a chat here about Kaira Platform. To be honest, I'm a bit surprised it's not being discussed more on other platforms on lens protocol.
About few weeks ago, a buddy of mine, who's been deep-diving into crypto over the last year or so, told me that I need to check out Kaira Platform. He knows I love Reddit, and post in this sub a lot, and he was like "Why don't you post somewhere where you get paid everytime someone engages on your content?"
I kinda called BS at first, or didn't have time, or whatever, but I eventually started checking it out and realised a few things:
There are people making serious bank on lens Ecosystem and also people stacking up Kaira tokens for future usage. Particularly with the way crypto-currencies are going right now. I see Kaira topping the charts.
So i think Kaira platform is still in its infancy, which means it's a really good time to establish a presence
Over the last few weeks Lens went permissionless, we saw an exponential growth , which means huge future potential when Kaira Network develops the most accurate features for users to use.
.
Other major differences from Reddit include embeddable images, and more of an emphasis on who follows you - eg, my default "front page" is full of posts from people I follow.
My main issues are:
I'm not sure what type of content does at Kaira platform yet. It seems to be that posts that do well on Kaira are posts about Kaira... My opinion though
What is kind of neat is that apparently they are building other features on Kaira that will sit well with the community that will make an instant impact,
Anyway, as I say, I'm not a crypto expert, and I'm sure there are people here who are way more savvy about that aspect than I am, but I do find this particular platform pretty interesting and am curious to hear thoughts of others.
The future is really so bright with Kaira platform and if everything is put in place, it will be the most sort after in the Lens ecosystem.

- The beauty is with every new social network, you see a new class of creators rise.
It takes overwhelming distribution to get the large already known creators across bc their opportunity cost is too high. Not to mention migrating their existing followers is hard, mostly they come to new social products to attract the new audiences that have developed there to not miss out.
Typically, they enter the scene later, after the initial pioneers and early adopters have paved the way and nurtured the ecosystem.
If they join earlier, they're more likely to churn for a time and come back when the products are impossible to ignore. This is typically when clear long term staying power or FOMO is well established. If you only have the latter they will churn again. If you have the long term staying power, they'll do everything they can to grow and invest not miss out on that platform.
I dont see big influencers on web3 social as a signal to get excited. They'll likely leave and comeback. We're so far away form the distribution or financial rewards that are needed to be valuable for them. Yet.
Also means those that are early have a longer time to benefit as the trends and products mature.

- The Osun-Osogbo Sacred Grove
Here's my participation to the recent $BONSAI contest on historical events or places in my nation, Nigeria
Will briefly explain why The Sacred Grove of Osun-Osogbo is one of the most visited places in Nigeria.
The Sacred grove is one of the last remnants of primary high forest in southern Nigeria. Regarded as the abode of the goddess of fertility Osun, one of the pantheon of Yoruba gods, the landscape of the grove and its meandering river is dotted with sanctuaries and shrines, sculptures and art works in honour of Osun and other deities. The sacred grove, which is now seen as a symbol of identity for all Yoruba people, is probably the last in Yoruba culture. It testifies to the once widespread practice of establishing sacred groves outside all settlements.

- Nigeria Cultural Heritage: EYO FESTIVAL
Eyo Festival, also known as Adimu Orisa, is a masquerade festival in Lagos. It’s believed by some that the masquerade takes away sickness and poverty, bringing wealth and longevity. There are several versions of the history of Eyo—some claim it originated from Ijebuland (in southwest Nigeria) as a result of the marriage of a King of Lagos to an Ijebu princess, while others say the Eyo deity was sought out by an Oba of Lagos so that his younger sibling could have children.
The Eyo masquerade represents the spirits of ancestors and it was originally seen at events like the burial or coronation of an Oba or high chief. It has since become a major festival and tourist attraction in Lagos. Eyo masquerades can be seen mainly in Lagos Island (Isale Eko) during times of celebration.

Among the natives egungun festival present an opportunity for the dead who are widely held in most African societies as being able to influence the affairs of the living to reunite with their families and friends. Egungun may represent specific name of deceased individual or family names.
