- On-chain order book exchange ZigZag said it decided to close its exchange on zkSync Lite this week due to pressure from US regulators. ZZ fell more than 27% in the past 24h. zkLite Exchange forked the ZigZag code and said it would continue to offer order book trading on zkSync Lite.
- Coinbase will file an interlocutory appeal in the SEC case. In its motion, Coinbase will appeal whether the U.S. SEC has the authority to treat digital asset transactions as investment contracts. If the case is allowed to appeal, the original trial proceedings will be suspended until the Second Circuit Court decides.

- Herbert, a man known for his meticulousness, was determined to win the local pie contest. He spent weeks perfecting his recipe, using only the finest ingredients and measuring everything down to the last gram. On the day of the contest, he proudly presented his masterpiece: a sky-high blueberry pie with a lattice crust so intricate it looked like lace.
As the judges approached, Herbert puffed out his chest, ready for their praise. However, one judge, known for her brutal honesty, leaned in and took a bite. Her face contorted in a mixture of surprise and confusion.
"This is...interesting," she said, her voice laced with amusement. "It appears you've used birdseed instead of breadcrumbs in the crust."
Herbert's jaw dropped. He frantically scanned the kitchen, his eyes landing on a bag of birdseed his forgetful neighbor had left on his counter. In his haste, he'd grabbed the wrong bag! The other judges, stifling their laughter, awarded the prize to a more conventional, yet delicious, apple pie.
Herbert, red-faced and defeated, walked out of the competition, vowing to never bake again. But as he left, he heard a faint voice from behind. It was the judge who loved brutal honesty.
"Hey," she said, a mischievous glint in her eye, "at least the birds will love your pie."
